This is awesome! I can finaly run into something on the ocean floor. I wonder if they live in other types of ocean as well? It would be a great floran defense.
Is it naive to hope that spawning cities underwater is no longer an issue, not because spawning mechanisms to remove water on spawn have been implemented, but rather, pump systems have been added, allowing for small holes in the cities, and also all sorts of water fun in player bases, and non-convoluted crop watering systems? Yeah, it probably is.
I would LOVE to see a mission before getting the O2 suit involving a steadily flooding underwater city, a broken (or disabled) pump system, and in general a need to open/close doors which may be keeping water in or out. Ending with a boss that can move more freely the more water that makes it into its chamber would make for a really interesting time mechanic, not a hard time limit, but a difficulty curve that goes up as the player fails to perform other flooding related objectives. edit: Went ahead and made a post about this on the suggestions board if anyone wants to discuss: http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/hylotl-underwater-mission.101345/
