Srsly... this needs to be an microdungeon type.

 

Can we get a little bit more info on the mechanics of the targeting? It appeared as though the rocket was fired and then began tracking the bird on its own.

 

Wow Homing Missiles - a long avaited feature for my MMX mod! Also +1 for the pixel that falls into the hole.

 

Another clothing-based species? I wish we'd get some more vanilla species-species instead so we can have randomized color variations!

But the attitude of Maggot Man is interesting to me all the same.

Well, I agree with the maggotman on that...
But the important point is: Who gave that ape a homing rocketlauncher?! He's gonna kill himself!

 

Will we be able to wear maggot man like an alpaca suit?

 

Can you expand on "clothing-based species" as opposed to "species-species"? I am just trying to understand your post.

 

The maggotman is essentially just a normal NPC wearing a costume, just like the alpaccas.

 

I was thinking that, but wasn't 100% sure. Are there any plans on more npc or playable species being added to the game? Not including the use of mods.

Maggot Man is weak to Chromatic Purge.

Get equipped with: Insect Swarm and Puppy Jet.

 

I think that this game needs Hi-tech mini biome
And I really want to see something like warzone mini biome where you can find military camp with vehicles and guns ( Famas , M4A1 , M240 )

 

Those types of weapons would be out of place.

 

Who would want real american weapons in Starbound? 0.o and what about UMSC-Bunkers?

 

Can we make maggot-man a community meme? Someone, make a high-def portrait of him and add cheesy confucius quotes that have been reworded slightly.

 

I really like the look of the new items shown, I hope this also gets used for a dungeon mission as well, would be fun to go on a mission and have to fight giant insects.

 

I would guess not. There's only so much you can do with a new species (visually speaking) while keeping them compatible with all the current armors in the game. Not to mention the fact that with new species you need a new ship, new dialogue, new ai, new villages, new npcs, new codexes, new... everything basically. If they want unique npcs, they can create them as a special npctype like Nuru. That system is actually quite powerful.

Can we stick these dudes into our Base Turrets for Homing Missile Turrets & would they be able to acquire lock on & fire on Monsters correctly?
