Very Useful Mole Merchant Whatever Giraffe

Can't find the quest items? He sells them, but it comes at a cost.

You want it? He sells it!

A common problem I noticed while mucking around the public servers were the fetch-quest items. If you don't look up co-ordinates online you have to have some degree of luck to find things like the USCM Sign or the Golden Ducky. You might get lucky and find it in a few minutes or you may not find it for days.

Luckily, Chucklefish had a "blank" merchant ready to sell things. The Mole Merchant now sells fetch-quest items at 5000 pixels each, like his mortal soul. It may seem to be a steep price, but at least now you're earning them rather than searching fruitlessly for them. You'll also find he sells other choice items such as fuel (no more boring moon-trips!).

You can craft the Mole Merchant at the wooden crafting table for 20 core fragments.

Among other things, the mole merchant also sells random weapons in the form of presents! These presents will give you a random weapon once used and can be shared on multiplayer.

    UPDATE:
Introducing the Powerful Fezzes side-mod! This mod adds 10 useful fezzes for the mole merchant to sell for a fairly high price. This includes

Haz-Mat Fez: Grants immunity to poison and hazardous liquids, including lava!

Firey Fez: Glass cannon mode! Gives you high attack but nullifies your armor and reduces your health.

Magic Fez: Another glass cannon mode. This time it gives you +5000 energy. This fez can get you to the asteroid field above the planet.

Devine OP Fez: Has the benefits of the firey fez and magic fez without the downsides. While this is overpowered it costs 1000 diamonds and 10,000 pixels. If you can pay this off without cheating then you've earned it!

The mod performs as designed and 5000 pixels seems a fair price for not grinding dozens of worlds to find a fetch-quest item. The random gun gift (20 pixel cost) was giving me 600-800 DPS guns, is it supposed to be that much of a bargain? Also why is the mole dead inside?

I had one more thing to find: A golden ducky. That was ALL that stood between myself and making a full set of upgrades to my ship. With My Starbound Crew active, I absolutely needed the extra space so that everyone would have their own themed workspace/quarters.

But alas, planet after planet, I never found an Avian Temple. Oh, sure, I found plenty of Towers (and killed the cowardly sacrifices who refused to jump, of course), and plenty of those pyramid temples (which don't have duckys), but I never located the Temple type that had them. Or, after finding one for a Moon Emblem, neither did I ever find another tomb (not even sure they had them).

But then I installed this mod (as a note: IT WORKS WITH OLD SAVES! Just FYI). Within minutes, I had my new mole merchant set up, bought the elusive Golden Ducky, and finished my last fetch quest. A few diamonds later, and I was sitting in the second-biggest ship. Much to my surprise, he was already ready to advance me on revisiting the Outpost again. And so, I am now the proud owner of a full-sized warship with the most painstakingly-crafted interior I've ever made in any sandbox game.

1000/10 would skip bullshit fetch quests again

Aye, for me it was the stupid penal colony sign. Glad you found this helpful. If they add any more stupid fetch quests I'll give this a stupid update. Thanks.
