Hey guys! Back yet again with another update!




ADDITIONS

- Due to Erchius Extraction being much more hazardous lately, the corrupt cooperations that head the industry are taking advantage of recent events.

The price for Erchius (both liquid, and solid) has increased a bit.

On the flip side, Penguin researchers have made a new discovery: Various types of organic matter can be synthesized into organic fuel, known as Organius. Penguins have created yet a new helpful, marvelous machine to take full advantage of this discovery: The Organius Synthesizer.

Once you craft this device (roughly durasteel tier), you will be able to turn various organic matter (such as freshly cut logs, and plant fibre) into fuel for your ship!

It of course can't make fuel out of all organic matter, so you will just have to make due with the options it gives you. Not only is the process efficient, but the green natural fuel is good for the environment!


- Some independent Penguin research facilities have recently reverse engineered some important ship tech. The PTS can now offer independent, totally legal versions of a few ship utilities, including S.A.I.L. consoles, co-pilot chairs, and fuel hatches!

They can be placed anywhere on your ship, which should make accessing important ship functions less of a headache (especially if you have a big ship)

(The new tech does not function outside of your ship)


- New object: The Pet Panel. These devices, crafted at the PTS, can spawn a ship pet. Normally these are monitored and maintained by your ship's Tech Station, but the penguins have reverse engineered the technology, and applied it for totally legal use in standalone devices.

There is one for each race, and all races can access each other's pet panel. If a panel is removed, the pet tied to it is despawned, so only take a panel down if you really want to, or want a pet with a different pattern.

These devices work outside your ship too, so don't be afraid to put pets in your houses!


- The penguin king now sells an object known as the gossip stone. This strange object from a foreign land can be spoken to, and offers helpful tips and gossip!

It also serves as another place to see the tutorial from the intro, since the info booth isn't really accessible after you leave Earth...


- A few features introduced in the previous update have been moved to a separate addon mod, known as PPM-MiscTweaks. This mod currently changes the following:

The SAILs for the vanilla races

The ambience during the escape from Earth

Allows some alternate music tracks to play on the title screen


- The penguin codexes have been cleaned up a bit, as things were becoming a bit unorganized. Here are the changes I have made:

1. The following codexes have been made unobtainable:
Penguin Names
Penguin Black Market Origins
Penguin Biology
Penguin Monarchy to Anarchy

2. A new penguin codex has been created: The Penguin Archives. Information from the cut codexes ha been reworked, and incorporated into this new codex. It also has some new sections too!

The codex has it's own icon, to set it apart from the other codexes. It can be purchased from the Penguin King

3. The other codexes have had their icons changed a bit. The hue of the discs has been shifted to for each one, to set them apart from each other.

4. The Penguin Logbook has been revised and improved.

5. The Orbis Care Manual has had some revisions.


TWEAKS

-The fuel amount provided from solid and liquid fuel has been adjusted, to compensate for the new fuel type.
