KWEH! Adds rideable Chocobos and more!

    Note: Mounted combat is possible, but we're kinda limited by the game's engine at the moment. It would cause clipping issues with the sprites since we cant control the zLevel of the weapons/player arms.

    This mod adds rideable Chocobo mounts and more to Starbound. Everything is custom made from the sounds to the sprites!

    Chocobo Tech
    Choose from up to 10 different Chocobo colors!
    Note: All of them have the same speed/jump as of the current version. There are no special traits or advantages other than just aesthetics. Balancing will come later down the line. Zero pixels are required as well at the moment.

    Tired of enemies hitting you and you can't fight back? Saddle up on these Chocobos and teach them a lesson! Spear attack!

    Unzip the chocobomod folder into your starbound/mods/ folder.


    If you update to a new version, uninstall the old version before installing the new version.

    This was one of my favorite mods before the big update. I enjoyed riding along with my big golden and black chocobos. The added moogle merchant was a plus. Please update! :) Thanks!

    Worked wonders in Enraged Koala... can't wait to see this get the update for Giraffe...

    However, could we get more clothing/armor for the costumes? The Black Mage hat goes along with a few items, but the White Mage hood goes along with...well... nada.
