You said “We’ve had a good run”
And pounding through the night, a sudden shower had come
Made sense
It happens now and then
I’ll pour a little water for
Sugarvine
I’ll take a bus and take a look inside
A cafe that I always said I’d visit in time
Got here but don’t know where and how
Drink coffee grown in Africa, drink it down
Cleaned up and put it all away
Washed every window clean from golden morning til day
Berry sauce on pancakes today
I tried out something new but that went
Up in flames
“So who do I give this to?” I wonder
Then piled up my plate as I ate, live and learn
Berry sauce adds contrast to the charcoal
Not too bad if I may add but won’t measure up
I know that he’s a sugarvine
Without the rain, he can’t survive
And be it theirs or be it mine
If it’s water, then he doesn’t mind
I am, too, a sugarvine
But all my tears have gone and dried
Look for water, go and find
And I’ll be starting my brand new life
