Hello, I wanted to share a little thing that someone gave me a while ago, a cigar without any mods. And i wanted your opinion about creating custom items with programs like this. I have already seen people with "customized" swords and I also wanted to know if there was any other way to create this kind of items. The Cigar: To get it in-game you have to use StarCheat to import a JSON file. When you use it, your character do an animation, smoke and a little sound. It's a good thing if your are into RP and want a little prop. I have made 2 more if you want : Download Links: Cigar and More - Dropbox StarCheat - Type it on google How to get it ? Install and run StarCheat Select your character Double click in an empty slot Click "OK" Click on the button in the bottom left corner with "Import item from a file" caption Select the item that you get in the zip file Click ok and save and it's done I hope you will like it
All you need to get started for custom items is a copy of SB Graphical (go to Youtube and type "starbound sb graphical tutorial" and click the SB Graphical Tutorial video, which will also have a copy of sb graphical you can download in it's description). If you know any top modders you can also request their custom item script, which basically turns any PNG image into drawables. After you have the sb graphical program you only need to make each background of the PNG image transparent to start transferring drawables onto items Positioning, effects and all that other jazz is up to you. Thanks for the video It will help me a lot. I could also try to make this kind of program, but i'm not that good at modding.
This is from over 2 years ago... and the person hasnt been on since may of last year. Don't count on an update, and check dates. Basically anything from before january 2015 is outdated.
