Server Help Trouble connecting to friends starbound server (on hamachi): FAILED TO JOIN! "IP/port"

    I'm trying to connect to a friend's hamachi and other people can connect to the server but I can't
    -I allowed hamachi AND starbound in my firewall settings
    -I am running on the same version of the game as them
    -I have the same mods downloaded correctly and working in single player
    -I'm using the IPv4 address in hamachi, the one my other friends use to connect
    -I tried Deleting the .config and notepad files and verifying my game cache in steam
    -I'm running on windows 7 on a laptop connected by a wireless router: I think this might be a problem

    I'm pretty okay at doing technical stuff but things like this always confuse the fuck out of me because of how complex a problem could be from such a simple message.

    Any help would be appreciated though!

    Have you tried connecting to him through his ISP IP?
