Did some, much needed, optimization on the website. It should load faster and be a bit more reliable

 

Really need a "last verified date" or just purge everything submitted before the database purge?

 

I purged the database right after the update
I a few of them are wrong, then please tell me

Hmmmm... I shall attempt to fix that.

 

I checked a few of the coordinates, and none of them appeared to work for the new update... Ho hum.
Anyhow... I purged the database!
Sorry about the wait, didn't notice the update until a little bit ago.

 

Made the database wipe info cookie last longer than the current session. Sorry about that xD

 

Thank you to all who have submitted coordinates, if the coordinates suddenly stop working because of an update, please tell me as I am taking a short break from Starbound

 

A 'version' field would help. To tell whether the coords are for Enraged, Furious, Perturbed, etc.

 

I've thought about it more times than not. Probably will give in to the temptation to add something new to it soon.

Did some, much needed, optimization on the site. Searching and viewing coordinates should be faster.

Made the rating system use ajax!

The page doesn't refresh anymore when rating a coordinate, It was a much needed change.

 

Been spending the last few days remaking the site. It should be hosted under its own domain too
No more subdomains for you lad!

I'm also making it so it can be expanded to host more things than just coordinates in the future!



EDIT: OH! It also fixes the issue some people have with submitting coordinates :OO

I took the liberty of transferring all the old coordinates to the new system, so every one of them should have tags of their own

The new site should be live in the next couple of days. Stay tuned

Edit: Realized that coordinates didn't show... coordinates... Remade the layout a bit to fix that xD

 

Okay. Had a small issue with funding for the domain. Then I got lazy. But, it should be up in the next few days. (honestly xD)

Is there a sort of achievement or progress system for the users who submit coords? I think offering some sort of reward system will encourage contributions to the database. Special titles for those who contribute many verified planets, highly rated planets, or most detailed submissions (with tags). Little badges and shout outs on the front page go a long way. Also a "submitted by" would be nice.
