    Sup,

    As the title, this is the Big Suggestion Thread with many things that Starbound needs to be implemented ( or suggestions for Modders ) and get loads of new stuff, mechianics, etc etc

    Here's a first list - I will update this thread adding new Spoilers when there are new Suggestions ! We know that some of those suggestions are already mentioned in the official Forum, but some doesn't know about them or we have not found any already suggested !

    - Vehicle Factory & New System :

    - Vehicles : Tanks, Hovertanks, Motorbikes / Dirtbikes / Sidecars, Helicopters ( combat and transport ), Blimps / Hot-Air Balloons, Cars / Jeep, new kind of Boats / Submarines, APC, mining / construction vehicles and many others. Listed in the Vehicle Factory suggestion thread above

    ( submarine has been done / introduced with a fresh new mod - 6th Aug 2016 : http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/submarine.3936/ - another submarine is available in Frackin' Universe mod )

    - Season Events / Festive Events : Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Tanksgiving Day, etc etc. crafting tables

    Those Events will unlock themed Quests for some period of time, asking you to collect resources, killing mobs, exploring dungeons to kill a Mini Boss for an Item recovery etc etc,

    You will gain Tokens to spend from Event Vendors that will sell Costumes, Hats ( like a Pumpkin Head to wear ), Weapons and all themed Items of the current Festive Day

    - Quickstack button : to move the entire inventory from one side to the other OR to stack items that are already inside the chests, etc etc.

    - Admin Tools for Anti-Griefing or Instruments : to prevent any kind of abuses / ninja looters ; A crafted item / tool to "seal " buildings once completed, those griefers / lame dudes can't destroy / ninja the items / blocks used - only who have sealed his building can Modify / Destroy / Replace the stuff . Same for the chests / containers / objects / etc etc. No more ninja and annoying people / kids.

    - Random environmental effects : like, for example, Acid Rain, Meteor Storm, Asteroid Landing, Lightning Strikes that can hit you ( don't hide under the trees ! ), Earthquakes ( volcanic biomes, a volcano erupts, earthquake time ! better not stand under some fragile terrain with lava above... ) - obviously those effects can be encountered in certain Biome, Planets, etc etc and you can encounter them in a small % in any other biome / planet that is not themed with those effects !

    Some of the environmental stuff are introduced, some others still not !

    - Security code for locking doors, chests, etc etc : The player can lock the stuff he want to secure with just a simple Password, body scans and so on

    Fingerprints scan and other Starbound vanilla security items, will have the Player ID once crafted, then when placed and wired to a door, that player will be the only one that can open it AND removing it with the Matter Manipulator

    Keypads can works too for example : when placed it will pop up an UI that let you set the Password, once saved it will close the UI. Then interacting with it, you'll need to type the Password to open the wired item.

    Chests can have a Password set integrated in the UI, so basically working as the Keypads mechanic.

    Structures need to have also a Player ID protection, in order to avoid people that will dismantle the entire house / room to reach the protected stuff

    - Farms with Animal Breeding : This Breeding System can work like the Fruit / Vegetables you " plant " on the terrain and wait them to grow

    There can be also Items related / themed to the animals you want to breed ( like Hen-Houses for the Chickens ). You have to place the Egg inside those Hen Houses, wait until the egg will hatch and the Chick fully grow up as a Chicken, then if you kill it, the Chicken will drop the meat to cook and / or some eggs to place again inside the Hen House OR the chickens can drop the egg randomly after some time they are fully growed up !

    Animals to Breed / Farm to add :

    - Chickens ( already in game, need only the Breeding / Farm System )
    - Pigs
    - Rabbits
    - Turkeys
    - Sheeps
    - Cows
    - Ducks

    - Invasions : Like in Terraria, sometimes random enraged dudes will rush into your Planet trying to kill you. You have to fight them back until they are all dead or they retreat - adding also a Mini Boss / Boss in the fight ! Every invader have a Boss that lead the assault.

    Invaders can be Aliens ( like the one from the Creepling Costume ), Space Pirates, Zombies and Undead stuff, Bees ( with the leading Queen boss ), and so on.

    Mobs and Bosses will drop themed loot, costumes, special weapons and other related items

    - Dynamite : we have Bombs, why not Dynamite ? You can also attach some wires to it, so you can activate the explosion manually with pressure pads, levers, etc etc ( I smell traps over here... )

    - Dead Biome " Furnitures " : talking about the one that have bones all around the surface, giant skulls, etc etc. We should be able to recover those Skulls and re-place them where we want as furnitures, same for all the bones and stuff you can find there

    IE : matter manipulator will recover them ; attacking them they will break and drop the bones

    - Flare Pistol : yup, we have already the classic Flares to throw, but not the Flare Pistol ! This one can be a nice counterpart : shot Flares and light up the surface ( the pistol will require the standard flares as " ammo " , instead to use energy, once the " ammo " are depleted you can't fire anymore, unless you find / craft more Flares ! When you will fire it, the flare will be like a bolt of light ) .

    - Sports : tennis rackets and net ( you will be able to build a pre-generated aka craftable, tennis field to place and play against your friends 1on1. Equipped tennis racket will hit the tennis ball and it will bounce on the field, when you click the left mouse button - standard attack command ) ;

    Golf Clubs + golf balls, you can craft and place the Flags with the hole and create your personalized Golf Course ! Left Mouse button = charge the club swing ( same stuff you do with the Hunting Bow - you get the power shot by release the charge at the right time, ie : white blink )

    And any other possible sport game

    - Boats / Boats Upgrades / Different Boats types : Would be great if the boats have upgrades and different designs / shapes ( maybe someone want a pirate ship, somoene a chaos ship, viking ship, etc etc ) to craft or find the recipes / blueprints in the Chests or Loot from Mobs / Boss / Mini Bosses

    Those upgrades can add more space in general, a more spacious cabin where you can keep more diving suits ( or even a Sub Marine ! ), crates, or goods of any kind, etc etc.. The perfect structure for Waterworlds biomes exploration

    - Trading with Players : this suggestion title tells everything. You are able to trade goods for pixels with Players ! In this way there can be " Black Markets " to sell stuff for pixels, or just trade an item with another one, etc etc.. This can be a nice feature and allow community Forums to have their personal Trading Market !

    - Hide in Bushes : grant the possibility to hide in the Bushes, by pressing a button, with your character - jump out and backstab your foe ! Ambush style ! To balance this feature, you can be hit by melee strikes and bullets while inside the bush

    - Customized Colours for Teleport Beam & Torches : the flashlights have different colours, we should be able also to craft Torches with blue, yellow, green, red, purple colours more than the classic / standard one ! Same for the Teleport Beam : you can chose the colour of the Beam when you create your character !

    - Dice Roll Mechanics : like in many MMO or classic RPG like Neverwinter Nights in Online Shards, you can throw your dices to declare if you fail / pass a Test or if you Greed / Need an Item that have been dropped from a Boss and stuff. Here in Starbound a Dice Roll feature can be very useful to use in a RPG Server or a Private Server, in order to avoid Ninja Looters and stuff.

    This can be easy to add. Just introduce the " ability " to roll a number / dice by typing in the Chat - for example : " /roll20 " - you can set your number to roll from 2 to 100.

    The system then elaborates a random number between 1 and 20, the player that rolls the higher number, wins the Chest or the Item dropped from a Mob / Boss. Each roll made while you are in a Party will be visible to all the other party members

    - Building Protection Item : more than to have the security password and related stuff already mentioned in the previous Suggestion, would be nice to have something ( like the Shield Generator item ) to protect our Buildings.

    When placed it will secure the building to prevent Griefing ( unbreakable blocks ) and players will not able to place blocks near the structure within X blocks. The Protection Item can only be destroyed from who have placed it.

    With the door locking system, no one will destroy it, except if you let them go in or leave the door open ;)

    - Custom Tents Patterns : bored to have a Tent with the same Green colour ? Here's the solution : http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/camping-with-style-tent-mod.48167/ - let us have the chance to craft / chose our favourite camo ! No more green !

    - Recoverable Breakable Items : instead to brake jars, bowls, vases, urns and many other of those breakable items around the planets / temples / biomes, with melee / weapon damage, make them also Recoverable with our Matter Manipulator so we can re-place them anywhere we want

    Avian breakable items for example, are very cool, so why destroy them when we can put them inside a Museum ? Once the items have been recovered with the Matter Maniuplator, they will keep the drop / loot in

    When placed inside a theca, they turn as Decorative, so no more breakable!

    This can be applied also with all the Plants and stuff you find in the jungles( for example ), so same steps and stuff wrote above, grab your matter manipulator and recover them.

    Pixel Printer can save all the Decorative stuff, but they will not break anymore when crafted and placed

    - NPC Decorative Plant Seeds Vendors : vendors can randomly sell plant seeds of any genre / current biome you are on for decorative purposes ( ie : if chopped down, it will not drop materias but just the placeable seed )

    - Binoculars : obviously this item will grant more field of view when you use it ( add more free look pushing CTRL ). You can't use them in the underground, ie : they work only in the surface of the planets.

    - Weapons made with Uranium ( and stuff ) : those weapons are obviously crafted with Radioactive materials, you will need the right protection to use them.

    - Drones : drones can be found via Recipes / Schematics in the chests / npc drops. The defensive drone, spawned as the Pet mechanics, will pop out and starts to follow you.

    When engaging the enemies, he will consume his energy bar

    - Rain / Water against Fire ( Available in Survival Mode ) : water and rain should extinguish Campfires / Fire Barrels or remove the Burn Effect from your character if you dive into the Water ! You will lose the campfire if it's leaved under the rain, fire barrels instead, they can be light up again with Wood or Coal

    - Wormholes : you can use those space-time tunnels to travel in random locations / unexplored locations of the Star Map at your own risk ! Or maybe, if you are lucky, you can travel on a special / secret Planet !

    - Crabs : Crabs as Mobs in Starbound ! When killed with hunting bow, etc etc, they will drop Crab Meat that can be cooked, cooking recipes will follow up

    - Kiwi : a new better design for the Kiwi, instead of looking like a potato, let them look like real Kiwi Trees : http://www.envygfx.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/kiwi-fruit-tree-pictures.jpg

    - Planet Editor : in game Server Administrator tools, to edit planets and adding custom villages, cities, colonies, etc etc, like the Dungeon Editor, but without the Server Admin quits the game - ie : real time editing while the admin is in the server. This tool is suggested for the Community Dedicated Servers, to create places where players can meet, PvP zones and everything for a RPG setting ! --- PLANNED FOR FUTURE UPDATES / RELEASE

    - Oil Pumps : those pumps can be crafted and when placed on a platform, above the oil pools, they will start to gather Raw Oil ! Like the Moth Traps mechanics, you can collect the oil / tar after some time


    FRESH NEW SUGGESTIONS SEPTEMBER 2016


    NEW - Cosmetic Items / Vanity Sets Special Abilities Re-Introduction : balso here, as the suggestion title, re-introduce all the special abilities that Cosmetic Items granted to the player like :

    Parachute : it allows you to glide ( maybe now with a new animation for the parachute that will looks like a real parachute that opens in the back, instead that black sacket thing ! );

    All-Seeing Cape : it allows you to move the camera more far away ;

    ...and so on for all the cosmetic items that had those special stuff !

    - Monster Combat 2014 Mechanic Re-Introduction : As the blog post made by the devs, re-introduce this Monster Combat : http://playstarbound.com/monster-combat-changes/ - It was the best and better mechanic.

    - Satellite Launcher ( previously Weather Tower ) : Compatible with Frackin' Universe mod, it allows to change the current weather on the planet you are settled. You can change / add the Rain type ( blood too for example ), Fog, Snow, Wind, Sandstorms, Ground Mist, etc etc

    You can't change / add weather like Gravity Rain, Meteorstorm, Small Meteorites, Liquid Iron Rain, etc etc

    Mechanics :

    Launching a Satellite will work as the Terramart Shipments with also a Custom UI ( based on S.A.I.L. since it fits perfectly ), where you can check out :

    - Available Weather on the Planet
    - Added / Changed Weather
    - Satellites launched / online : clicking on one will show what Weather the Satellite modified - you can also " dismiss " ( aka Destroy button ) Satellites, just like kicking out Crew Members from the ship

    You need to re-build new Satellites when previous ones are destroyed in order to change / add the weather

    The Satellite Launcher will have 2 more updgrades that let you launch 2 and 3 Satellites ( the standard one obviously let you add / modify only 1 weather )

    - Enhanced Trees ( Saplings & Full Grown ) : This mechanic let you to plant the Saplings also in the Background, just like when placing blocks with the Matter Manipulator Right Click.

    This will allow you to place any placeable item ( like chests, crafting workbenchs, crops seeds, bees apiary, etc etc ) right under the tree trunk blocks ! Also, when building up houses with background blocks, you'll be able to place over them, instead to have the construction blocked by the tree trunks / foliage

    Chopping down the trees will work as usual, leaving the Wooden Log on the ground / platforms / etc etc

    - Legacy Dungeons ( beta / previous builds dungeons ) : re-introduction of all the missing / lost Dungeons that were in the previous beta builds ( like the USMC base, etc etc ). The more we have, the better.

    - Cyberpunk / Protectorate style Cities : as the suggestion, add in the Planets pool a " biome " that is City based, so you'll find huge cities with a Cyberpunk OR Protectorate themed stuff

    The Cyberpunk cities could be located in dark / very low light sun cycle ( the light sources comes from the neon shop signs, light poles, etc etc ) and the typical Rain / Thunder weather ( ie : as in Blade Runner for example ). The city will have theme furniture, blocks, vehicles, etc etc to explore and gather

    The Protectorate one could be located in Forest / Lush planets and / or also in Desert planets and themed as the Tutorial Level

    - Tentacle ( Ruin ) Biomes / Mini Biomes : Introduce in the generated star systems the Tentacle biome planets ( mini-biome too ), with dedicated Dungeons and loot ( like cosmetic set, weapons, etc etc )

    - Blood & Gore : Add a button in the Options menu that can be turned On or Off for " Blood & Gore " effects like in terraria when killing Monsters and NPCs : the various parts ( legs, heads, skeletal parts, etc etc ) will bounce / fly away from the killed NPC / Mob with more amount of blood. Bloody Parts will stay on the ground for a bunch of seconds.

    - Better Crew AI :
    A new and improved AI for the Ship Crew, so they can walk around all the Ship rooms, interact with objects and such, so no more annoying NPC that stay ( and camp ) all togheter in a spot, atm this makes really difficult to interact with one of them or with the placed objects ( same for the ship locker )

    - Barber Shop :
    Placed near the Terramart in the Outpost, this shop - with a dedicated UI - will let you change your Hair colour, Hair type, Skin tone and any other character customizations as in the main menu Character Creator.

    A request from the entire community to let us change our characters aspects after the first creation !

    - Legacy Food / Vanity Sets / Cosmetics : Re-introduction of all the missing Cosmetics items, Vanity sets, Food ( like the Alien Ham ) from the previous builds

    - Racial Abilities : Re-introduction of the Racial Abilities for all the available races as we had in the previous builds ( ie : Hylotl can breath underwater ; Avians can slowly fall ; etc etc )

    - Fishing Cooking Recipes : Fishing has been released, time to request some new Cooking Recipes with catched fishes

    - Printable Scanned Objects : Unlock all the scanned items found in game in the Pixel Printer, let us have more variety and building customizations

    - " Spooky Forest " Undead / Halloween Biome : a new type of biome where you can find undead monsters, skeletons, skeletal monsters, ghosts, zombies and such stuff.

    Full of cemeteries / graveyards / tombstones, themed furnitures, trees ( like the ones found in the bog biomes in Frackin' Universe mod, talking about the dead trees with spooky faces ), carved pumpkins, spooky abandoned houses, blood pools, etc etc

    - Undead Parts / mobs style : as the suggestion, new random generation of undead and unique mobs. You will meet those in the dedicated Biome : " Spooky Forest "

    Undead Monsters :
    - Skeleton
    - Skeletal monsters ( flesh parts, boney only, etc etc )
    - Ghosts
    - Zombies ( avian, human, etc etc. )
    - and some more creepy stuff

    - Randomly Generated Monsters Re-Introduction & Various :
    actually in Vanilla 1.0 you can find more Unique monsters than the generated ones in the various biomes / mini biomes / caves, also most of them doesn't have special attacks or other skills, just a charge and a " touching " attack damage

    With this, we request the re-introduction of all the removed Randomly Generated Monster Parts from the previous Starbound builds, alongside all the removed special attacks ( on smaller mobs too ), no more Touch Damage ( monsters will deal damage with the attacking moves and not always when they touch you even when not attacking ), giant and grown up monsters variants :

    Let us find more Generated ones than Unique ( it's a small pool but they are always on screen ). Bring back the true variety and generation :

    - Throwable Items Re-Introduction :
    as the suggestion title, re-introduction of all the Throwable Items that have been removed from the previous build / builds, like : Grenades ; Phoenix Emblem ; etc etc., adding also new ones / types that can be crafted at the " Explosive Workstation " as suggested below

    - Explosives Workstation : This dedicated workstation let you craft various explosives, like Dynamites ( single or packed ), landmines, explosive barrels, new kind of molotovs / grenades, and so on

    Some more kind of Ground and Air Fireworks too ( happy new year style ), with new effects, shapes and colours using the dyes and other mats to get elemental shows ( for example, one can form a skull shape when explodes with acid clouds )

    All the crafted stuff can be wired / timed to pressure pads, triggers, etc etc.. ( there is an Outdated mod to work on - anyone can alter the assets without the modder consent : http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/just-explosives.1970/ )

    - Fireworks reworked : In combo with the explosive workstation and the wiring stuff, Fireworks should work as placeable items that triggers only if you interact with them ( atm FW triggers instantly when placed ), so for example you can wire all the stuff up, press the button / lever ( with a timer too ) to blast them off in the skies when you want


    FRESH NEW SUGGESTIONS AUGUST 2016


    - New Farmables ( Vegetables / Fruits ) and Recipes :
    Pumpkins ( this is a must, especially for Halloween events ), Watermelon, Zucchini, Beans, Cabbage, Onions, Eggplant, Strawberries, Artichoke, Asparagus, Garlic, Broccoli and many others

    - Pumpkins : this farmable works as a cooking ingredient and also used for carving Halloween Pumpkins ! You will get different and random shapes when crafting them : Pumpkin + Candle ---> Halloween Pumpkin

    - Fishing Boats : Since fishing is coming soon, would be cool to have Fishing Boats ( classic small and other dimensions too ), this can combo up with the Vehicles Factory suggestion, we can craft the various boats with mats ( different materials = different shape / colour ). Let us deploy our boat in the oceans, drive it to the spot and have a nice fishing day.

    - Fishing Baits :
    Another good and cool suggestion, to boost up Fishing mechanics, would be the fishing baits ( worms and such ) that can be " attached " to the fishing rod hook. The bait is attached with the same mechanics of the EPP Augments, just pick up the bait then right click on the fishing rod !

    Baits will buff up our chances to catch something and get better / rare fishes too

    - Wind / Strong Wind / Blizzard / etc. : This kind of weather should affect the Player ( in Survival Mode ) by slowing / speeding up his movement ( depending on which side facing the wind ) and other stuff

    - New Cooking Recipes / Food : Add new cooking recipes / food ( like spaghetti, ham, beans, watermelon etc etc ) and more variety with the actual existing raw food, like the Raw Poultry / Poultry that just have one at the moment

    New recipes and stuff will combo up with the new Farm / Animal Breeding mechanics as mentioned in the suggestion spoiler list above, for example, Turkeys for the Thanksgiving Day with the dedicated recipes. More variety the better !

    - Basic Tools : re-introduction of the classic mining / woodcutting craftable items as pickaxe, axe / chainsaw, etc etc.. bring them back !

    - Flammable Fuel / Oil : those kind of liquids that " interact " with fire or anything else that cause burn / fire damage effect, will ignite them ( when triggered, burning flames will spread on the first liquid level then passes to the 2nd, etc etc )

    - Traps : Yep, we need them ! Craftable and placeable items that can be used with pressure pads, in custom jumping puzzles, wires, etc etc

    Boulders ( spawner and placeable ones ), Saw, Lasers, Fake Treasure Chest, Fire Traps, etc etc.. Basically all the traps from the Vanilla 1.0 and more new items requested that will go in the Traps Crafting Table

    - Space Stations : those will be available to unlock lately in the game and they will work as Guild / Organization place where you and your guild mates can meet, customize, place chests, etc etc. As one of the devs said time ago :

    " The idea being that once you are pretty far into the game you’ll be able to register an organisation/guild that will get its own spacestation "

    - Dungeons Boss / Biome Bosses : We should have also Bosses AND Mini Bosses in the Dungeons / Biomes we explore, with a balanced chance that they will spawn. Same for the Loot they will drop ( or not ). They can be Unique or randomly generated if it's a Mini boss class

    - Randomly Generated Weapons Bullets : Re-introduction of the alternate and different bullets that weapons fire - at the moment the guns ( pistols, rifles, assault rifles, snipers, etc etc ) shoot only standard bullets with a common / standard animation

    IE : As the old screenshots, talking about those kind of bullets to have different animations ( including the hit and the special type of fire - ie : slow projectile ; mini-rockets ; elemental orbs ; bouncing bullets ; exploding bullets ; etc etc ), colours, projectiles ( pictures below for example ) and damage :

    - Mounts : as we saw them time ago in some sketches / mockups, mounts would be a nice touch for Starbound. Riding dinosaurs and other unique creaters ( example : the Ram / Elk / Moose screenshot below )

    This can do a combo with the Capture Pod. In the Pet Station or another Crafting Table, you can " craft " the mount with the captured Mob still inside the Capture Pod with some other mats requested ( like a Saddle )

    - Placeable Throwable Items : this feature will let you place throwable items with the matter manipulator !

    For example Throwing Boulders, Bug Hive ( from freakin' universe ), etc etc, placed on secret trapdoors that you can manually activate with wired switches OR activated with pressure pads. The Boulder and such items will fall, causing damage if the player is hit ( like you do with liquids )

    - New Fossils : add new type of fossils we can get, like the Mammoth one, various species of Dinosaurs ( flying dino too ) and many other stuff we can dig up and throw in the Display Stands

    - Reviving Fossils ( Fossil Station add-on ) : you have the chance to revive fossils with a special Potion / Liquid, crafted you can craft ( like the fossil Brush, basic, advanced, master ).

    When using the Liquid on a Completed fossil, there is a chance that the creature / npc will respawn and act as a Boss / Mini Boss ( they will have a chance to drop a weapon or stuff when killed )

    The Potion / Liquid have chances to fail the respawn, if that happens, you will lose the fossils !

    - Craftable Tier Weapons / New Schematics : re-introduction of the Craftable Weapons based on Tiers. This should have not been removed. Plus, new weapon / unique weapons schematics that you can find in Chets and such.

    Crafted weapons ( but not the unique ones ) should have also random stats / ability / type of damage, so each time you craft one, you can get a good or a bad one ( ie : no ability perk ; ability perk + normal damage ; fire damage ; cold damage + ability perk ; etc etc )

    At this time there are only a couple of those that can be crafted, boost up the Crafting stuff and let it be more entertaining

    - Augment Station : this crafting table will let you create / add Augments and stuff into your armors, weapons, etc etc..

    - Buffs / Perks / Debuff / etc etc : Introduction / re-introduction of those things into Survival Mode for the armors sets as bonues, if X Tier set is equipped ( mockup above - right side ) you'll get Perks and such.

    Debuffs and other negative stuff re-introduced too.

    Let Survival Mode be more difficult with the various hazards you can find in the Planets Biomes. At this time Survival mode is not that hard and not as it should really be





    - Fishing : Water Worlds biomes are there, what about go fishing ?!

    You need to craft the Fishing Rod - maybe with different styles if you use different materials, then throw the fish hook in the water and hope you will catch something big !

    The fishing feature / fishing rod can work like the Bow : keep left mouse button to charge te shot, then release it to throw it ( obviously, more you charge, the furthest you throw the fish hook ).

    When you see the fish has taken the bait, you need to keep the left mouse button clicked ( but watch out to not break the fishline ) - right mouse button can give some fishline to tire out the fish ! Or something like this, like real fishing >>> INTRODUCED - Patch 1.1 8th Sept. 2016 <<<<

    - Liquid Gathering System : we have previously suggested some ideas for the Water and Pipes, now we suggest a more complete system, giving the possibility to gather the Rain when it falls ( same for Acid Rain / Lava / etc etc ) in pools tanks or similar. Barrels / Buckets / etc etc, can be used also to gather the water, then you can pour the content where you want. Pipes can be crafted with holes like in this screenshots ( left side ), the liquid drop from it, so you can create traps and many other useful stuff

    - Re-introduction of the Old Star Map : we are talking about the previous Star Map, that one had all the Solar Systems with different Threat Level Planets in each Star Sector ( ie : sector Alpha, click on a solar system, check the planets : a level 2 planet, a level 1, level 7, level 4 - and so on for every other sector / solar system )

    So, we ask you Devs to re-introduce this kind of Star Map, because it's quite annoying to have all the Planets with the same Threat Level as the Tier / Sector we are actually on. The new Star Map kills the previous 9 Sectors when we reach the last Tier ( level 10 ), because it cut off the Exploration and you will never go back to explore them, since they are all low tier levels, same for the loot, mobs, mini bossess, etc etc. ( ie : no reason to go back and get unuseful items, for example )

    With the Old Star Map, you had the chances to travel back in the previous Sectors and check back again many of the Solar Systems, because they had Planets with higher Threat Levels ( leaved unexplored because of your gear and high difficulty / threat ).

    This would re-introduce also the Levels to the Mobs and when the night falls, they will gain levels / " grow up ", since the night it's more dangerous than the daylight. Example : on a planet with a Threat Level 3, mobs during the day are level 3 / 4 - during the night they will get 2 / 3 level boost, so level 3 mobs are 5 and level 4 mobs are 6 !

    Leterally : the Old Star Map and Threat Levels for the Mobs and Planets was way and way better than this new one. Would be really cool to have it back, and many people here in the forum agreed and want back the Old Star Map, same for the 90% of the Italian Community Players !

    - Distillery and Brewery : would be nice to craft, with the right mats, barrels / mugs of Beer and Brandy liquors --- DONE IN STARBOOZE MOD

    Mats for crafting the Beer : Hops and Malt ( can be filled into Wood / Metal Barrels when it's ready )
    Mats for crafting the Brandy Liquours : Distilled Wine ( you can craft Wine with Grapes and glass bottle ) or Fermented fruit juice

    We will need also items to start the Beer and Brandy process, by introducing the Distillery ( http://portaledelleosterie.it/scrip.../Persone_e_scene/varie/Alambicchi_vermout.jpg ) and Brewery ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/Brewery-nogne-o.jpg )

    You put inside those containers the mats ( like you smelt ores ), then click the button to start the process that will take some minutes. Once done, a Barrel / Mugs / Bottles of Beer or Barrels / Bottles of Brendy can be gathered ! More mats you fill inside those 2 brewing machines / cistern, you get more beer / brandy !

    Beer and Brandy can be drinked and will grant some Buffs, but if you drink too much, Drunk graphic effects will fill up your monitor ( malus ) and will fade away after some time or maybe the negative effects will revers / screw up your movement keys ( ie : press A to go left, you go right instead ) !

    - Distillery and Brewery Vanity Items : there can't be a distillery / brewery without the official Items you can find in Pubs : chairs, bottles, bar / pub counter ( http://www.birreriafelix.it/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/DSC_0259m2.jpg ), kegs, bretzels, german blue and white checkered flags, etc etc.. and all this stuff can be craftable !

    Everyone will be able to build and fill up a personal Pub with those items and have some drinks with friends ! Imagine a bar brawl when people are totally drunk in a GDR Server, with this background music ( obviously played by other Players with the instruments and ABC song ) :



    - Wine Production : you can craft Wine with Grapes and bottles. Bottles are crafted with glass, made with the sand ( raw material ), Grapes can be farmed and planted in the ground ! To produce the Wine you will need a craftable Item, the Winepress and you can fill it with the Grapes and bottles. Wine is finally crafted after combining the two mats and pressing the button to start the process ( always like smelting ores ). --- >>>> INTRODUCED : Starbooze Mod <<<<

    - Malt Production : same way as the Wine production described above, you will need Wheat ( already in game ) to put it inside the craftable Item that will produce Malt ( fermentation vessel ) - the item is something like this ( DONE IN STARBOOZE MOD )

    - Alchemy : in the game there are currently Labs with various kind of stills filled with red, blue and green stuff, like the Syringes that give you Buffs when used ( speed, light, heal, jump ).

    We request to have a Crafting Table where you can craft some new kind of Potions / Syringes / Stills that will Buff your character with new Effects, like in Terraria ! Those crafted potions can also be applied on the Weapons to give them some Damage Bonus on hit ( poison, fire, etc etc ) ! >>>> INTRODUCED <<<<

    - Mannequins : fancy to show your Crafted Armors and Vanity Sets ? Those wood dummies will do the job : just place your 3 piece of armor / vanity set on the Mannequin ( like in Terraria ). >>>> INTRODUCED <<<<

    - Oil Biomes : those biomes have pools of oil instead of water and are Rare ! The Oil is inflammable : fire, explosions, asteroid impacts, or any other kind of fire special effect will burn it ! Oil can be gathered with Fuel Pumps / Oil Pumps, then the Raw Blocks of Oil can be refined in the Refinery : refined oil will be used as fuel for vehicles ( suggested here : http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/vehicles-factory-new-system.64613/ ) OR for crafting items like Molotovs, etc etc - - - Oil Pools can also be found rarely in the other Biomes ! >>>> INTRODUCED : Frackin' Universe - Science mod <<<<

    To fix this it would be really simple, in order to please everyone, instead to remove it completely :

    - Normal Mode : Hunger System is On / Available

    - Casual mode : Hunger System is Off / Unavailable

    More simple as this :mwahaha:

    IE :

    Casual mode is casual, you have everything " served " without " annoying things " that the casual players don't want to play with, let them play the easy way.

    Normal Mode have more Survival Features and " realistic " stuff ( temperature, hunger, etc etc ), ideal for players that want more challenges - IMHO is the BEST part

    I was thinking the same idea! I'd also like to see more larger ponds on standard Biomes too with smaller fish just for food source, What would be great is if you could create little boats and sail out to sea and fish off of them! and maybe the prospect of crab / lobster pots? They could be attached to surface Bouys to mark their location and you could check them every so often.

    This sound very interesting ! I never thought about the traps for crabs / lobsters to place ! I will try to make a Mockup of the crabs pots and stuff, but I'm awful at Pixel Art design :p

    Yup the idea of the Fishing feature is also made for sailing out with the boats and have a Fishing Day !

    Ok, I've done a quick and weird pixel art for the Crabs Traps !

    Inside the traps there is a lure, when the Crabs will go in there, the front panel " door " will close. Once near the trap, click " E " to retrieve it ( like it's a full grown fruit / vegetable ) and voila, you have a Crab inside your backpack. Crab Traps will expire after picking them up, so you need to craft them again ! The Fishing Float will help you to find where you have placed the traps.

    Awesome work! Nice picture, what would be interesting is if the type of bait you put in the trap encourages different catch. Cook meat, Uncooked meat, fish or even hamburgers! would be fun to see different results.

    There are squid type creatures that I've found, maybe they could also be catchable in a similar way, combine wheat and eggs and make squid rings! this food could enable a 30sec buff to holding breath duration.

    I like your work here Psygnosis I'm hoping you'll appreciate some of my ideas to contribute so here goes (prepare for essay on Farming)

    Farm style games are a huge success on social networks such as facebook, micro management systems are highly addictive and played by a vast array of people even those that typically don’t class themselves as “gamers”. ChuckleFish have the potential to tap into this market and increase their revenue this should be encouraged.

    *Starbound Farming Explored*

    I propose foods have a quality feature implemented lets say a score of 1/10, whereby 1 would be Alien meat that has been cooked on a campfire, sure you can live on it but it taste like **** and 10 would be something that has been cultivated by factors such as soil, fertilisation / feed, light, temp, humidity.

    This would apply to both crop and animal farming, for example a Chicken which lays eggs for you to eat, if fed on grass would produce 2/10 quality eggs, but if fed on corn 3/10, but if the quality of the corn is also high then the bonus for the chickens becomes even higher (you see where I’m going with this.)

    You might place a chicken house down and increase your quality +1 because they are happy, or they might even get harassed at night by scary monsters or have their coop hit by a meteorite and receive a -1.

    This could also apply to killing the chicken for meat, if the chicken has been well fed then it’s going to be a much higher quality of meat and a lot tastier and healthier than the gritty alien meat found on the planet and cooked over a crappy wilderness fire pit.

    This could then lean towards cooking and food preparation, certain recipes may need to be made over specific level of quality, you can’t cook Premium grade Sausages with any old meat, you need to feed your pigs on quality food in quality conditions to make quality meats and the benefits for doing so would be longer lasting Buff effects and modifiers.

    Creating such a focus on food buffs will also be good for the Trade network as previously mentioned, players whom are not into the farming side of the game will wish to purchase foods sold by players that do thus creating a working market.

    In regards to building and construction farming aspects could include enclosed Bio-Domes for growing grops in humid / warm environments, light sources for internal growing and increased light duration times, or even other pre-planting prep methods than just hoeing the ground / other tools or machinery to run your farm with.

    About the Chicken & Eggs I've suggested also this :

    - Farms with Animal Breeding : This Breeding System can work like the Fruit / Vegetables you plant in the terrain and wait them to Grow, obviously you don't plant in the terrain the animals :D

    There can be also Items related / themed to the animals you want to breed ( like Hen-Houses for the Chickens ). You have to place the Egg inside those Hen Houses, wait until the egg will hatch and the Chick fully grow up as a Chicken, then if you kill it, the Chicken will drop the meat to cook and / or some eggs to place again inside the Hen House OR the chickens can drop the egg randomly after some time they are fully growed up !

    Animals to Breed / Farm to add :

    - Chickens ( already in game, need only the Breeding / Farm System )
    - Pigs
    - Rabbits
    - Turkeys
    - Sheeps
    - Cows
    - Ducks

    ----------------

    With your suggestion, the Eggs should work with 2 kind of feature : just to eat and use them in cooking recipes OR place them in the Hen Houses to breed Chickens ! There is also a lot of coding with those modifiers and environment stuff ! Obviously the Developers have to keep in mind those ideas and introduce them in the game !

    Or, like I've said previously, we need a Modder that can use those suggestions and try to develope / test them.

    Yep, also Trading would be very helpful in Starbound ( we have suggested it also this one ahah ) ! In the Trade menu with a Player, you can exchange products for Pixels ( or product with product ). But the market / auction house is not good in Starbound, otherwise people will not farm anymore since they can find what they need in the AH ( and farming / exploring stuff is the big point in this game ) !

    Better a manual trading with 2 players, one near each other ( and in the same party - you right click on his avatar and select " Trade " to open the menu ! ) - This will be cool in RPG Servers : you can travel on a Planet with a Market Place ( like the Avian Village ) and Trade / Sell your stuff to people !

    Around the suggestions threads, someone have said something about the Rice that need to be underwater to grow up - Bio Domes for growing fruits / vegetables can be a good stuff ! It adds more realism.

    There are many pointers I agree with you within your original post.

    You may also wish to edit the Binoculars part actually, since the game has this item called the "All-Seeing Cape" that does the same, I think, just that it works underground.

    Just to nitpick, this portion might be slightly backwards I feel personally. Why not have it be the Right Mouse Button to pick up liquids, and the Left Mouse Button to pour them? It strikes me as so since LMB acts as a shooting functionality whereas RMB is more alternate-fire.

    Great post! Love your suggestions.

    P.S. You make me wish I had my PS1. You probably get that a lot.

    Never found that Cape actually ! :p But the binoculars will work only while in the surface and not in the underground !

    Yeah, reverse Mouse Buttons would be better, gonna edit that suggestion ^^

    Vehicle Factory suggestion : Jeep Wheel crafting Mockup ( http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/vehicles-factory-new-system.64613/ )


    If we hold the mouse Cursor on the Jeep Wheel in the Crafting Menu of the Vehicle Factory, we will see what mats are needed to craft 1 Wheel ( 4 Wheels are needed to craft the Jeep with the other primary mats ) - obviously this is still an example / mockup , required materials can be different , same for the quantity . Each " Primary Item " have different ingredients, for example the Jeep Engine can be crafted with Iron Bars and other stuff !

    Refined Tar as displayed here in the mockup, is crafted by extracting Raw Tar from Tar Pool / Oil Pools and then Refined in the Refinery ( we have suggested Tar / Oil Biomes to be introduced in the mod Variety is The Spice of The Universe ) :
