As you see in the thread's name, I'm going to collect all useful information about bugs here, for the sake of developers. It would be nice if you could post all bugs you find here, if you're even searching for them!

For those who say that this thread is unwanted because Molly made one. I know about this! But I also want to help everyone by collecting information about bugs in one post, for new players to know what they may find and for others to see the progress.

    Anyway. Good luck on bughunting!

    • I have a small plea for you guys. Please, categorize your bugs and write them properly, without personalities (I have, My ship). There are too many bugs, takes a long time to handle them all. Little help from you would be great! ^_^
    • This thread is not for nightly builds! Nightly builds are terribly broken, and you all are aware of it, unless you can't read. Posting bugs from them is pointless, since developers are pretty much aware of them.

    - Game doesn't launch on Mac.
    - When underground, removing wall blocks lets you teleport back to your ship [*]
    - On osx the menu does not appear, you have to resize the window to make it show
    - Resizing windows when playing in window mode makes background music change.
    - When sitting on chair in the cockpit, games becomes laggy on certain devices.
    - For some reason, when using the Navigation window and zooming into a system with a Forest or Arid planet, the game goes out off fullscreen and back to windowed mode.

    - Pasting special characters into game causes crashes. (for example 'Э', or 'ó')
    - Characters cannot be deleted.
    - Big dungeons with hostile enemies cause great lags.
    - No swimming animation.
    - While on ship when background is rotating after a while there is a small skip of rotation, making the smooth transition break for a split second.

    - If you sleep in a bed you don't lose hunger.
    - Scroll bars cannot be clicked/dragged. Otherwise, they work ok.
    - Alt tabbing out when in fullscreen mode reverts to windowed mode.
    - The time on the planet continues to advance while you are in your ship, however there is no indication of the time of day while in orbit.
    - At character creation human undy color can be picked, however there is no visual indication of what color you have picked.
    - When structure is spawned underneath a water pool, the water sometimes stays in the air.
    - If water falls from an underground biome to another biome, the water color from its original biome will "stack" on top of the water in the current biome.

    - You can put everything in the second inventory "bag" and not just raw material blocks.
    - Maximum coordinates that can be input are +/- 999999999 however you can go to planets beyond that.
    - Temperature at night is higher than at day on snow planets.
    - Avians talk with their eyes. (Seriously? O-o)
    - Dungeons that appear over the 'terminator' in the middle of the world (or rather at the edges due to the clever world looping) are essentially cut in half and end in a brick wall.

    - Tentacle "trees" on tentacle worlds drop wood instead of flesh or maybe tentacles
    - Plants are growing on a floor of prison.
    - Moving really fast can catch up to the loading of areas, leaving big squares of open space which pretty much freeze anything that tries to come in. This can also have the effect of moving NPCs, resulting in them getting stuck inside blocks.
    - Long names 'clip' outside of their intended area at the top left corner of the screen where character information is displayed.
    - In a similar way, you can go through the roof of your ship by placing a shelf very near the ceiling, place bed on it, then use the bed from below and wake up. You will be stuck there though.
    - It is possible to die after beaming up. After the part in the animation where your character is off screen but the screen is still on the planet, if an enemy hits where you were previously standing, you take damage. If you due, the beam animation completes to your ship, but you do not show up. Then, after a 3-5 second pause, the game shows the respawn animation.
    - An accidental swing of certain block-breaking weapons (Like the bonehammer) can easily wipe out multiple chests if they are sitting on top of platforms, causing the bug mentioned earlier.

    - When underground and when the background is visible (i.e.: the “painted” background), sometimes when trasitioning from one background to another, the entire background will “flash” a flat color in the transition.
    - Asteroid fields on moon, snow and tundra type planets are colder than in any other planet types. This requires players to use 2 campfires to gain heat in warmest clothes available.
    - Ice planets appear really close too the sun and deserts appear far from a sun.

    - Hunger will not go down when your sitting on anything, not just while in the bed.
    - If you press escape while the game is loading, it errors out. This can be reproduced only if you manage to make the game stay at the loading screen, and you can resize the screen.
    - If the computer can't handle Starbound, it freezes entirely, forcing a reload.
    - The in-game font does not support accentuated characters.
    - The armour is drawn behind the character's body.
    - Plants can grow on bricks in villages.
    - Sound effects of block mined or trees falling are stacked up, making them quite loud sometimes.

    - No thunder sound effects during storms.
    - Opening storage, furnace or fireplace (basically anything that opens the inventory and another window) will reset your inventory location.
    - Usually plants in the jungle and other biomes sounds like breaking jars.
    - It's possible to jump for a short time after walking off a ledge.
    - Character is spawning with less then full HP left.

    - Using bandages has eating animation
    - Game stops working on Ubuntu after some minutes.
    - You cannot crouch while underwater, even if standing on the bottom.
    - The ground above and below structures (dungeons, ships, labs, etc.) is now always flat, like every structure is a village.
    - Placing any storages or ovens in a small space, closing the gap between the roof and platform, will cause you to float a little below the platform when trying to jump from it.
    - universalDamage no longer applies to players, so self-damage with explosions is near impossible.
    - In the moons, when digging straight down, air becomes breathable on certain depth.
    - All underground tiles sometimes can become invisible. Reason are unknown. Screenshot provided. [*]

    - Extreme Framerate drops in locations with many animated/light objects
    - Ship Teleporter cannot be interacted with when holding the Wiring Tool

    - Changing log files can sometimes lead to enormous changes in items, after using which it can lead to your computer malfunctioning. Same goes for servers. [*]
    - When tent's entrance faces left, player's head stick out when sleeping in it. [*]
    - You can teleport through wall if you place a chair, a bed or any other sleep/sit item on the other side (just right clic the chair and you'll find yourself sitting on it, even with a wall between you and the chair)
    - Ferozium, Cerulium, Violium, and Rubium Tech Upgrades aren't consumed after being used
    - Same goes for a Portable Pixel Printer
    - This prison console disappears when interact with it and will reappear upon a second interaction. [*]
    - When laying down to sleep your character is brought to the forward-most layer. Npc's will walk inbetween you and the bed. This works with every bed type. [*]
    - Same bug happens with falling trees.
    - Race-specific food can be perfectly eaten by other species, without any harm.

    - Consoles in the ship should be either in the background layer or movable. They make a lot of unusable space in front of them. The pick/MM work on them, but nothing happens.
    - Iron bed and anvil sometimes cannot be found in the inventory after being created.
    - Crafting more then 1000 items at one time (999 x 3 wood planks for example) will only give you 1000. [*]

    - Sitting in a chair that is in the very front of the ship will get you stuck when you stand up.
    - Golden bunny statue doesn't drop.

    - Some plants grow much longer than any other known plants. (Chili, Toxictop)
    - There are no recipes for platforms, only wood ones can be crafted.

    - If you change instuments while playing a song you keep playing with the sound effects of the first instrument.
    - Plants can grow over the walls of the ship.

    - Window Blinds are on the mid layer so you can't walk past them.
    - Unrefined wood found in a pre-generated structure can't currently be used to craft despite having the same exact name and icon.
    - Items that require >2 blocks to stand on, require all these blocks to be here, without any holes.
    - If you use a bandage from the hotbar and then immediately switch to another item by pressing a number, the bandage is consumed but you don't get the regeneration buff.
    - Grappling hooks don't get used when swapping items after use, as opposed to jumping to cancel it.

    - Consumables with non-stacking effects are permitted to be used at any time, wasting that consumable. Bandages are an example.
    - Glitch Furnace cooks food instead of smelting ore.
    - Opening song GUI, switching hold item and trying to play the song will get you back to your ship.
    - Water doesn't put out burning.
    - While placing book plies in a fully background walled-area, some of the books will fall off and disappear.
    - Some items will destroy falling blocks if they fall on them. Works with Torches and 6-pixels containers.

    - The diamond pickaxe can't be repaired with diamond ore. (can be repaired with diamonds instead)
    - Codex entries are still marked as NEW even after you read them completely.
    - Wearing any sort of hat makes you appear bald when sleeping/respawning.

    - Apple pie inflicts burn on Floran when eaten.
    - As a human, eating some of the recipes intended for a Glitch exits the game promptly without any message.
    - Sector X Starmaps are Gamma starmaps for those you make the map for, unless you stick it in a crate/chest/locker, then it switches to an X for those people
    - Black Current Crumble crashes the game with no error messages
    - Apparently you can build some tiles up on the top part of the screen
    - The Rustic Oven and a Barrel Fire are labeled as storage container/light, when they are being used for crafting.
    - Items with something covering 1 eye (e.g. Pirate cap, Monocle) will switch to the other eye when you turn around. This is probably due to the sprites used simply being reversed when you turn around.
    - Campfires can bug into disappearing if you have more than 1 of them.
    - The "glitch castle door" has no opening/closing sound.
    - Snowballs can do insane damage sometimes.

    - Crystal backpacks icon shows all the sprites.
    - When using rope changing items will cause rope not to be consumed.
    - Bandages/Stims/Medkits aren't scaling to added HP from armor.
    - The grappling gun has some weird physics going on; there's no.. friction on the extension/retraction mechanism
    - Fish in a Bone recipe has the wrong item ID for the raw fish, it shows a requirement for a PERFECTLY GENERIC ITEM instead
    - The 10k Voxel does not have enough room for the text so it looks like it says that it costs 1000 pixels
    - The Lantern Stick does not give off light - as well as I believe it bugs my weapon and causes me not to be able to attack anything until I log out and log in, and there are some instances where I have been invisible to other players while it is equipped.
    - The Titanium Chair is bugged. You sit in it the wrong way, like you are sitting on the arm.
    - Fuel rods (Made from uranium/plutonium/solarium) are worth the same as their ore, making them useless.
    - Durasteel Doors are off-center, always hanging out right-of-center.
    - Flag icons has a wrong icon set
    - After looting a tent on world and going back to the ship the tent will no longer be able to be placed and setup on the ground

    - All Codex entries learned on a server are only available on this specific server and won't be readable while being on an other server or in singleplayer. Similar to this, any Codex entries from singleplayer won't be available in multiplayer. This seems to sometimes include the tutorial entries that your character starts with, making it impossible to gain those in other universes except for the very first your character was created in.
    - Turrets will kill non-hostile NPCs

    - The bug with the insta-kill in Tier 3 with full steel armor also has a strange issue where sometimes damage that wouldn't kill you normally (not blocking) will kill you instantly simply because you're blocking.
    - Sometimes enemies can't get past 1-block high ground.
    - Killing an NPC in USCM colony may lag the game.
    - Speech Bubbles of NPC's in town sometimes disappear leaving only the left border of the bubble and nothing else visible. This may be bound to hunger meter and/or loot messages, appearing down the screen.
    - Monsters with a projectile attack will still be able to finish their attack even after you kill them.

    - NPCs that use firearms will drop melee weapons upon death.
    - Mobs can knock you in blocks. You get stuck.
    - Enemy life bar pictures are not lining up in their frames.
    - Flying Monsters have their Hitbox 1 frame infront of the actual Animation.
    - Enemies take no falling damage.
    - On my starting planet I was able to kill a large number of villagers without ever having guards actually come to fight me unless I attacked a guard specifically. I've even attacked merchants, had them calm down after 30 seconds, and then bought supplies from them.
    - Mini bosses under level 11 still fail to drop uncommon or higher items.
    - You are able to shoot creatures with rocket launchers and they won't become hostile.
    - Fish can spawn in lava or poison, but they don't live long
    - If you drain water frome a fishfilled "lake" the fish sometimes swim in the air.

    - Some monsters on higher worlds will only drop 10 pixels at a time, while on lower worlds some drop larger amounts than they should.
    - NPC randomly copy.
    - In the sewers, there are yellow spiders. When you hit them, instead of getting knockbacked like other ennemies, they just slide into the air until they hit a wall or something.
    - Placement of monster icon is off the box
    - Sometimes non-hostile enemies may start flashing upon death, but won't die. They continue attacking player.
    - Villagers will till the soil in random spots, with no rhyme or reason.
    - Small monsters hit themselves and has problem with moving.

    - Small monsters accidentally lose any hostility after being attacked.
    - Flying monsters after death are falling on you and can deal damage.
    - Energy attacks are bypassing armor. [*]
    - Nearly all the "baby" monsters I've encountered above ground have been hostile, with "adult" monsters usually being passive.
    - Flying mobs aggro even though you're inside a house or similar where they have no way to reach you.
    - Third boss shoots fire too high, you get no damage while standing still.
    - Grazing enemies do not attack when you come in range, but seemingly get stuck in the grazing pose. They do make a noise indicating they are attacking though. Hitting the enemy fixes this.

    - T4 boss is passive. Doesn't break blocks with body slam/excrete ability whatsoever. Minions passive and can be ignored.
    - On occasion, cultists near the black skull alters will spawn 4 blocks underground, leaving only their heads visible.
    - T2 boss gets stuck on uneven terrain.
    - In the Avian Temple enemies drop T2 weapon.
    - Mechanical Spiders occaisionally move in a direction inconsistent to their sprite's rotation
    - Miniboss sometimes get stuck on flat surface.

    - It may be possible for baby creatures to inadvertently be selected as minibosses.
    - The hitbox of the T4 boss does not seem to match where it actually is, or is unclear.
    - Pets attack non-hostile NPCs.
    - Sometimes, like very rarely, when mob is dying of a multihit, like a bonehammer attack, it can continue floating up in the air, due to knockback ._.
    - Sometimes enemy bullets will be totally blocked even w/o a shield equipped

    - Enemies with guns have a blindspot right up close to them where they cannot hit you
    - Sometimes, when hitting a monster on a world, especially with a wooden bow, the entire game crashes. This can be followed by a series of crashes, access denied violations, etc. etc.
    - Some swords are grabbed like a spear, in the middle and not on the end.
    - You can still purchase items from hostile NPC shop owners, and can also persuade them to lead you back to their shop. They will continue to attack you while you shop. All dialogue plays out as usual.
    - On low gravity worlds the fish can now swim out of the ponds and continue swimming through the air
    - Nearly all NPC have a tendency to clone themself.
    - Client crashes, seemingly at random upon killing NPC Villagers. This seems to happen most when said Villagers are cornered. Does not seem to occur with Guards. Kills were made using Melee weapons exclusively.
    - Agarans yell "You again!" when facing wildlife. This is strange since the Universal Translator does not understand Agaran-speak properly.
    - Minibosses still have a chance of duplicating after having faced them once and dying

    - Weapons are not too responsive [*]
    - But now you can hit enemies through walls with projectiles, if the weapon produces any.
    - When selecting some armors on the spinning wheel, it does not show the mannequin.
    - Upon reaching Tier 3, using Steel Armor, there is an extremely high chance of being one-shot without explanation. Even through shields (while blocking), even from attacks that should do non-lethal damage.

    - When you shoot arrows at enemies underwater and the arrow sinks, it still causes damage.
    - When switching to a weapon, it takes an abnormally long amount of time to be able to swing. It MIGHT not be a bug, however a usage delay notification or something would be useful.
    - High-velocity bullets tend to change their direction of moving upon impact with a solid block.
    - A good show of "Slashing" bug.

    - The higher a gun's projectile speed is the higher does it seem to be off with aiming at some angles.
    - Rocket launchers do not properly aggro monsters, the battle music plays but the monster won't chase after you. You can even de-aggro a monster by firing a rocket at it.
    - Avian Aegisalt armor (possibly for other races also) gives 32 total armor even though the description says 31.
    - When you hold a spear, you naturally hold it in your left hand, however, attack with it while facing right causes your spear to switch hands for the duration of the attack.
    - Tier 2 weapons have enormous DPS.
    - After defeating an enemy, their sprite/body can still damage you before it disappears

    - Ice Chunker crashes the game whenever you hover your mouse over it.
    - In prison dungeon tier 2 daggers were dropped from the prisoners even though it was a planet in the alpha sector.
    - If you wield a hunting knife in the left hand and a pick on the right, you'll do a downward slash animation with the hunting knife instead of the forward swipe that you normally do.
    - When using two handed weapon with some effect (poison, lightning etc) LMB works normally, but with RMB it's different effect

    - Bubblegun crashes the game on mouseover.
    - It is possible that you can't unlock armors
    - Removing armor then putting it back on resets HP to 100
    - Hunting Knife got turned into an enormous weapon, non-proportional to it's sizes in reality.
    - "Health Bomb" crashes game of everyone who witnesses it being used.
    - It appears that the hunting knife causes drops in general to increase, rather than drops from just animals.
    - Arrows sometimes do no damage [*]
    - When swinging a weapon, the slash effect is visually behind the player.
    - Shotguns deal the same amount of damage regardless of how many pellets hit.
    - About 30% of the time when firing an arrow at a creature (from any position) the arrow hits the creature, and the arrow disappears, but no damage is dealt.
    - Prior to latest patch, Carver and Carver XL had the same DPS. After the patch Carver (1H) has 1 point HIGHER DPS than Carver XL (2H).
    - When projectiles are shot from point blank at a target, they sometimes disappear and fail to deal damage.
    - The majority of splash damage can cause damage to other players, even with PvP off. This also applies to certain Legendary Swords with area effect ability.

    - If you place any blocks on liquid, the liquid will be gone after placed blocks are removed. [*]
    - Iron ore can't be used to repair a pickaxe.
    - Iron ore is really hard to see on certain blocks
    - When placing any blocks into lava, the blocks can reveal ore veins

    - When underwater, swinging a weapon at an ore makes weapon clip over the ore image and be behind the foreground image.
    - Sometimes when you collect flower petals you can have them teleport away from you and end up stuck floating in space.
    - When you mine sand under a tree, the tree just disappears without giving any wood

    - To make 1 diamond 4 diamond ore needed.
    - There is a bug where a diamond ore returns 100 pixels in the refinery, while diamond only returns 200.

    - Sometimes falling lava is shown as small dots on the sides, which disappear after a bit. Lava at the top keeps decreasing.
    - Torches can be placed in tar water and lava.
    - Flesh block crafting uses crystals instead of Flesh Strands.

    - Platinum ore is even more rare than Titanium for example.
    - Sometimes you can shut a door on yourself - trapping you in the door frame.
    - Copper ore can be used to repair any pickaxe in the game including diamond.
    - If water is generated above the cave without back layer, water is hanging in the air above those blocks without background and does not fall down until some water-moving event occurs, i.e. some blocks near the water are removed.
    - Light bluish moonstone drops as blood red items.
    - Falling sand/gravel sometimes is destroyed or lands on top of torches as if they're solid blocks.
    -
If you try to jump and placing blocks under your char, sometimes it happens to be stucked in the blocks until you break them.
    - Placing blocks atop poisonous water won't save you from poisoning.
    - Some blocks turn into other blocks when destroyed
    - Toxic (next to toxic waste barrels) water is drained gradually from a pool by placing 1 block into it.
    - When opening a door with an item placed where the door is going to be opened, the item phases through the door and appears to be attached to it.
    - Some furniture becomes solid if a solid block is placed just above them.
    - Durasteel doors placement acts like a 2 block wide door but once placed it changes to a one block door.
    - Water doesn't flood the tops of vines.

    - Uranium/Plutonium rods gives as much fuel as the ores.
    - The different types of cobblestone do not drop properly : you always get the same "classic skin" for your cobblestone even if this skin was different when mining it.
    - Tier ores (Iron, Titanium, Aegisalt, Cerulium, Rubium) cannot be used for repairs, despite their description. Diamond ore also suffers from this bug.

    - Game crashes directly after "Done searching for port forwarding" [*]
    - No problems with port forwarding, but still can't join the server [*]
    - Game crashing after trying to join server, 12/6 update [*]
    - Mis-identifying party members [*]
    - Constant server crashes [*]
    - Passwords stopped working [*]
    - Client-server connection is no longer valid [*]
    - When travelling with your party on one ship, the fuel is gone from this ship, however all other ships are transported to your current location without spending any fuel.
    - When you have a group and you are underground you can always port yourself to the ship of your teammate.
    - When online, you can enter someone's ship, then have them log off. You still remain on their ship, and anything they've put on their ship is essentially duplicated.
    -
When you warp to someone's ship and they are sleeping, their display animation is standing in place instead of sleeping.
    - Beaming to someone's ship when your own ship is travelling will cause your game to crash and you won't be able to join this server even after restart.
    - When your friend is teleporting to you, you can't see his beam animation.
    - In multiplayer, multiple people can click on a single distress beacon at once which causes multiple UFOs to spawn.
    - If on a server and on someone else's ship who disconnects, you can't use the teleport and if you try your player is removed and you are unable to do anything except disconnect.
    - If you upgrade your starmap in one server and then move to another one you will have to reforge the starmaps because it will be reset temporarily to Alpha. However if you go back to the server on which you created the other starmaps you can still go to the starmaps you created there.
    - If you click a party member's name, you can't get rid of the dialog box that pops up without teleporting to their ship.
    - When you're a leader of group, clicking on other characters shows your name.
    - In multiplayer, when mining, fighting or looting together, loot always goes to the player with the lowest ping.
    - When filling in the fields on the Multiplayer dialog to connect to a server, trying to tab from the IP field to the password field inserts an empty character at the end of the IP address.
    - Entering the server with 2 characters at once resets your current planet.
    - Picking up an instrument from inside of a container, clicking outside of it, placing it in your inventory, playing it and proceeding to exit the chest will glitch your ship. You may warp out of it, but warping back into it will give you a black screen, only allowing you to warp back out.
    - Creatures look inconsistent between player clients. Possibly Linux64 vs. Windows, haven't confirmed. [*]

    - If you input nothing into the text inputs at the join server page under the multiplayer tab the game crashes.
    - In multiplayer servers, when you are on a ship and someone warps in having used the Butterfly Boost Tech right as they beam up, that person will have the Tech's animation emanating from them until they use it again. This is only visible to others.
    - In multiplayer servers, when you start playing an instrument in a ship and beam down, the user of the instrument will continue to hear the music, but others will not hear anything and only see the animation.
    - Occasionally, when playing multiplayer, when a team of 3+ characters is formed, it becomes impossible to beam to the ship of the player listed second on the upper left of the screen. Clicking on the portrait displays your own name and will beam you to your own ship.
    - On Linux, when a user connects, the log is showing a broken IPv6 display.
    - When two players accidentally sit in the same chair somehow, one of them gets teleported to previous seat, resulting sometimes even in being on a different planet.
    - Same goes for tents, but in this case players gets teleported somewhere below the ground.
    - There's definitely a memory leak in the 64bit version of the linux server (possibly the other servers as well, haven't tried, will be trying 32bit soon).
    - Planet Time is not saved when a planet's resources are freed up, resulting in a planet reverting instantly to dawn once everyone has left it.

    - 3D printer scans objects, which cannot be made later [*] (happens during FTL travel)
    - Teleport pads aren't working sometimes
    [*]
    - The beam from Matter Manipulator doesn't always show up.
    - Defense turrets aiming to the right side of the screen target enemies even when facing a hill or a roof. Defense turrets facing left side of the screen when facing a hill or roof often do not target enemies at all unless the enemy touches the turret. Defense turrets facing left side of screen but placed above and beyond the apex of hill or roof will target enemies at long range. Defense turret behavior is inconsistent [*]
    - When using the Dash tech facing backwards, it still uses a forward facing "dash shadow". This may not really be a bug, but actually just a missing animation. [*]

    - Activating the travel menu can cause the game to crash. Restarting works with some lag.
    - Also, FTL travel sometimes makes the game crash as soon as I click on the GO button.
    - Dungeon traps do no damage to CREATURES.

    - When using the Durasteel and Aegisalt Tech Upgrade the Items aren't consumed like the Starmaps and can even be used by other players if handed to them after being used.
    - You cannot open the navigation GUI while sitting in the pilot's seat. If you close the GUI, you remain seated and unable to reopen the gui until you get out of the chair.
    - When Using your Mech near other players for the first time it will make a horrendous noise for everyone close to you including yourself.

    - If your ABC notation files are not in the standard format, trying to play them on any instrument crashes the game (Windows 7).
    - Entering the mech while on uneven ground will make your game freeze for 20 seconds and produce very loud, screechy sound.
    - In the crafting menu (of the crafting table), skull blocks appear twice, on top and bottom of the list. One needs 3 bones to be made, the other 4.
    - Attempting to use a repeat sign in the ABC notation crashes the game.
    - Some craftable items are not affected by any filter. Steel bar in Metalwork Station can be found only in 'all items' folder.

    - Using the pulse jump tech when falling can cause fall damage when falling hard enough.
    - Smelting ore in furnace sometimes creates more ore.
    - Holding down button while using the blink tech, can teleport through walls (only horizontal walls). You can even blink outside of your ship and get stuck.
    - Mechs are available but they only do 1 damage to any monsters above level 10.
    - ABC songs not specifically written for band play are out of sync
    - When using the 'gravity bubble' tech: if you fall on a trap an take damage and then try flying out of that trap using gravity bubble you cannot move left or right, only fly up or fall down. Also you cannot place any blocks while in this state.

    - Game crashes periodically when typing in to crafting screen.
    - If the morphball tech is buried in gravel or sand, it becomes impossible to stand.
    - Sometimes other players will fail to generate music despite playing instruments.
    - Zooming out on the starmap sometimes causes application window go from fullscreen to windowed and setting the overall zoom level to maximum.
    - Techs that make Electric noise can bug out when swapping techs in mid use.
    - If you are smelting ore and SHIFT click another ore, other ore in the furnace (stack) disappears
    -
The pixel compressor will clip visible values beyond 10 000, leaving only the last 3 or 4 numbers visible. The full amount of pixels is still valid.
    - Clicking on a tech in inventory results in a reset of this tech, allowing nearly infinite use of it, if having enough energy.
    - Can't exit morphball when underwater.
    - The titanium console does not allow wiring: after placing the item and equipping the wiring tool, no red i/o circle appears to connect it to other devices.
    - Other players are unable to see the animation of Pulse Jump/Dash
    - The Perfectly Generic Item does not register when trying to create the corntent item

    - Some songs can crash the game. The reason in unknown as of now.
    - Wiring can reset upon re-entering the planet.
    - USCM Penal Colony Panel is listed in the Wire category yet it has no wiring capabilities

    - The Bubble Boost sound effect occasionally keeps playing after the player stops using the tech, and repeats until the next time the player uses it.

    - Extremely bad duping- Run a server or log on to your favorite one then open a second client and log on again. Throw any items you want duped to your other self and close your client then save and quit on the first client rinse and repeat.
    - A glitch with the throwing block: once it lands you can pick it up AND the background creating a double.
    - Same bug can happen with falling blocks, like Fine Sand or Book
    - Duplicating a tent by pressing E exactly at the same moment you place it.
    - Nearly any chests found in the wild, harvested and placed again can be abused for infinite loot by repeatedly "placing chest -> looting chest -> picking up chest"

    - There might be a small grammatical error with the Bone Chimes text. There must be a missing word.
    - "Scavenger's Grieves" should be "Scavenger's Greaves" instead
    - Description of Corn and Sweet Corn is mixed up.
    - The naming on the Outrider's Armour (Durasteel set for Humans) is messed up. The helm is called the chestplate and the chestplate is called the helm.
    - There is a spelling mistake in one speechbubble, with 'thino' instead of 'think' (Avian or Apex)
    - In the codex, A To-Do List, part of the text on the 2nd page runs out of the window.
    - Wrong coding of some characters. On german version of Windows Vista (example) some characters are shown as []
    - Lore entries seem to have a cap of 25 visible entries, and going beyond this number starts removing previous entries from the list, including the starting entry "Control Yourself." Any lore that has already been read once cannot be reacquired by that character.
    - The 3D printer appears to remove certain previous entries from search results—seemingly in an arbitrary fashion—after a certain number of objects have been scanned in; these "missing" objects cannot be rescanned by that character. The number of scanned objects necessary to reach this point is extremely high, but the printer seems to have a maximum capacity of items it is willing to display. Scanning every single object you come across for long enough seems to eventually result in this.
    - "Dark Smooth Sdone" should be "Dark Smooth Stone" instead
    - Long titles in codex entries goes off window.
    - The sweet time description mentions it being made from ocumelons, but the actual recipe asks for neonmelon.
    - Scientist Glases; should be Scientist Glasses
    - The quest "Out of the frying pan" says you need coal to make a furnace, but when you look in the crafting, coal is not a requirement to make a stone furnace.
    - Geometric Bed, Geometric Table, and possibly Geometric Chest have the same descriptions as their Rubium equivalents.
    - The description for the Rum Barrel has a typo. I assume it should read "hopefully."
    - One of the first quest panels was too short causing text to overlap quest reward.
    - The Avian Sandstone Statue I misspelled as Asvian Sandstone Statue.
    - The Scientist cosmetic set pants are called Scientist Coat same as the chest piece is.
    - The Pilot Goggles are misspelled as Pilot Googles
    - Rusty Chests have been renamed to Ice Chests.

I'll also collect the bugs from other threads and put them here. Be sure to check if any are missing!

Important and dangerous bug, affecting computer/client
Severe bugs, leading to client crashing or other undesirable effects
    Moderate bugs
Possibly not a bug, but a feature/working as should
    Has been fixed after update

    - After game crashes, process doesn't disappear from the list, must be removed manually.
    - Launch error for Windows 8 [*]
    - Launch access violation on Windows XP [*]
    - Adjusting anything regarding the window, full screen toggle, or resolution will force the game to crash.
    - Changing resolution doesn't do anything.
    - If you press escape while resurrecting, you will often see the planet for a second, then your ship.
    - Food bar still does not show after every food item eaten ('Alt' works however)
    - If left open, the ship inventory will eventually play the 'close chest' sound even though it remains open.
    - Upon exiting the game, some errors are shown. [*]
    - If you click "connect to server" without having the server address and/or password compiled it crashes instantly
    - If you put your inventory window to close to the edge of the screen tool tip dialog goes off screen instead of shifting in towards the center. So you end up cutting it off depending on how close to the edge it gets.
    - Eyes blinking animation can be seen when sleeping
    - Flying to a planet you can't land on get's you stuck in warp speed.
    - Leaving the game via quit button can leave series of "access violation" errors and crash it.
    - Bringing up the food bar manually with Alt and then eating while it's still showing will cause the food bar in its initial state to pop up for every thing eaten.
    - Game crafts items that are on the top of left list (if you enter something into search bar). However, it uses materials of what is shown on the right.
    - During the human regen sequence, if you're wearing the floppy wizard's hat in the vanity slot, the character's hair doesn't show properly on the naked portrait after regen.
    - If you dig down to the very center of the planet (bottom edge of the map), and your feet touch the ground, you will be unable to move. The only exit is to kill yourself (probably by breaking some dirt and letting the lava wash over you.)
    - The music in tentacle biomes is way louder than the rest of the soundtrack.
    - Sometimes when typing right as you die, the rebirth animation starts playing. When you return to the game masses of characters are repeated.
    - One-hunger-bar sound is too loud.
    - Tree mowing animation is kind of broken sometimes while they are being cut down and swaying to the sides, some top sides of the tree move to much to the left or right, making the trees look like lego trees.
    - If you turn the resolution to the lowest possible the UI becomes almost impossible to read because it becomes very small.
    - Sometimes selecting planet-systems (not solar systems) on the star-map causes the game to change to a blurry 4x zoom view. This can usually be fixed by minimizing and then restoring the window but sometimes attempting this causes a crash.
    - When playing with another player, if that player sits or lays in a bed or chair, sometimes it will just show them standing up.
    - If you pick up an item with your cursor while looking into a chest and move far away from the chest where it will close it, the item you were holding on your cursor will be deleted. (it'll reappear in your inventory when you leave/go to ship)
    - Was placing blocks, and accidentally used the targeted blink on the same location I was placing a square of dirt in, this crashed my game, and upon restart, I can no longer access that character.
    - It is possible to to prevent another player from reaching their home planet (or any planet), therefore removing their access to anything they have stored there, by placing a propeller on the spawn site for that planet.
    - Star system/planet names (like gamma marfak-east majoris) are sometimes too long for the planet overview part of the navigation window and get cut off.
    - Scrolling down the character selection screen until you do not see any created characters and then scrolling back up will freeze the game just before the top character is visible.
    - It is impossible to see weapon or item description if it is in the bottom of inventory.
    - Hylotls start with glitch weapons.
    - Combat Helmet clips with certain hairstyles.
    - Drops seem to pick up/disappear if you are near them with full inventory while using a chest. Either that or they have broken drop lifetimes.
    - Sometimes crafting fails, or better, the crafted item won't appear in the inventory.
    - Sometimes navigating the ship's starmap is impossible. Zoom in/out doesn't work, typing in custom co-ordinates doesn't work. The only way to reach other planets is by clicking "Go to Random" and clicking random systems.
    - Stone furnace won't show ores being turned into bars until you click on them.
    - If the starbound launcher (the one that allows the user to choose to launch client or server) is closed before the client fully loads to the main menu then the game becomes stuck at the "loading" splash screen until the client is closed and the launcher is reopened and left open until the game makes it to the main menu.
    - During the night, stars at night are in front of the clouds, not behind.
    - Ctrl Alt Tab is crashing the game.
    - Collecting a stack of more than 1001 items (Ores) to the same stack (Collecting the 1001th) will crash the game if the 1000 line is for some reason crossed. Normally the game would just start a new stack, but if there are already more than 1000 items in the same stack it cannot execute the new stack command.
    - Terrain coloration tend to "bleed" onto generated structures.
    - Falling Damage still applies while travelling in water.
    - Even when the block animation is taking place, any damage will still be like normal.
    - Pressing both 'C' and 'I' can crash your game.
    - Creating Open GL character can overwrite your usual character.
    - Pressing down one (or more times) in the character selection to scroll through the char list and then pressing up one times more than down was pressed, the first character data will be loaded.
    - Game crashes to this error screen 100% of the time when you lock the computer (Win7 - win+L) while the game is running [*]
    - Game crashes when you quit while having any status effect.
    - Hunger bar and text below it doesn't always correspond.
    - Searching in the craft window can cause a crash. [*]
    - Poison debuff lights up everything like fire debuff.
    - Some merchants upon talking to them can break your game completely. No sun, no planets. Beaming down/going to cockpit results in crash. Check this please, devs, since the reasons are unknown.
    - Grasslands background doesn't go down far enough with the terrain in some areas.
    - Whenever NPC is taking damage, battle music is playing, even if the player is far from the battle.
    - The hair only seems visible depending on how much the hat takes up the space of your hair
    - In game windows cut off in moderately obscure resolutions.
    - Pressing down and a direction simultaneously (and repeatedly) will allow you to clip through gaps of 3 bricks tall.
    - Status pods don't give buffs anymore, they either hurt or disappear into buff-coloured smoke, not affecting a player.
    - Player can spawn inside blocks
    - For hylotl characters, when choosing to start with the monk's outfit top/bottom, the "arms" and "legs" of the character are human flesh-toned, instead of the same skin color that the rest of the character uses
    - The ship engine sound doesn't seem to play when you are farther away from the ship's center-this bug can be seen on modded ships.
    - There are clouds over Asteroid FIelds and Moons.
    - Some tree leaves are misplaced by default. [*]
    - Rarely when killing a monster, the game freezes entirely and the monster is kept stuck without dying and the whole game world freeze. Getting back to the ship, seems to work, it resumes, but if you warp back to the planet, "sometimes", window turns black, and only exiting seems to work to solve it.
    - Some placeable objects disappear when you leave your spaceship [*]
    - Items are sometimes frozen in place in your inventory. Requires client restart to move them around or delete.
    - Sometimes can't beam down on planet [*] (The travel animation is indeed a planet loading screen. And in single player sometimes it ends sooner then the planet loads (Guess the "crappier" the processor, the longer it takes). When you can't beam down, it's because the planet is not loaded yet, so you have nowhere to beam to. As soon as it loads, the teleporter works again.)
    - Seeds may grow immediately after planting them
    - Resolution was changed to a setting that the monitor was unable to handle, as a result the game is now visually unplayable. The game was uninstalled and reinstalled but the resolution option has not changed. As a result, without the ability to reset resolution to default, the game is no longer playable. It was fixed in a recent update. The window now reverts to a 600x800 window when started with a resolution too large for the monitor.
    - Merchants doesn't sell anything sometimes. They are naked. It was fixed in an update.
    - 3D printer can dupe any items. [*] ( oh no, it was fixed D= )
    - Buying more than 1 item from a merchant will charge you as if you bought only one. It was fixed in an update.
    - When online, you can enter someone's ship, then have them log off. You still remain on their ship, and anything they've put on their ship is essentially duplicated.
    - The book labelled 11 that is found in the Apex labs did not seem to add any journals to my log book.
    - All farmable plants and their seeds have their description mixed up.
    - Crafting stations, 3D-printers etc. activate the search box when opened: This has two negative UI implications. Firstly you cannot just press E again to close it like you can with chests (though E does work to close the window if you deselect the search box). Secondly you cannot press I immediately after opening it if you wish to open your inventory, you have to click somewhere in the window to make that work.
    - Recipe for Packed Dirt called for 1 Dirt Block and creates 3 Packed Dirt. Seems like it should be the other way around.
    - Can't use wiring tool on Apex Security Doors
    - Gravity Bubble increases fall damage on slow descent, and does not effectively eliminate it on soft landings. The only way to eliminate fall damage while descending with Gravity Bubble is to, at some point in the descent, fly upward, otherwise you will take extreme fall damage from very minor jumps.
    - Bone Dragon's fire breath causes damage to itself.
    - The little poo monster's animation is reversed. If it moves right, the animation is looking left and vice versa.
    - Armour defenses are still broken [*] (not a bug: game calculates average armor, depending on what pieces you're wearing)
    - You can hit monster through closed doors and probably walls with your sword.
    - INSANE DPS ON CRAFTABLE TIER 2 WEAPONS
    - Drills seem to be repairable with silver ore only.
    - The new drills seem to mine slower than the old pickaxes.
    - Shields aren't working anymore.
    - Gold Greaves share a model with Copper Greaves, rather than being gold.
    - Torches can be placed in poisonous water
    - When harvesting the hanging vines, it seems impossible to harvest the entire thing in one go. If you harvest from the base tile, the rest of the vine *except* the base tile will be harvested, but you will have to start over from scratch on the base tile (use axe instead)
    - When you shift click an item in your inventory while you have an open container the item will disappear if the container is full. [*]
    - This bug can work the other way - deleting items when transported TO inventory.
    - When using the Durasteel and Aegisalt Tech Upgrade the Items aren't consumed like the Starmaps and can even be used by other players if handed to them after being used.
    - Eating Copper Key Pie crashes the game.
    - Drills are slower/weaker than their Pickaxe counterpart making them completely redundant due to the 3 x 3 block removal of the pick compared to the 2 x 2 of a drill.
    - In order to repair the diamond drill, You have to use platinum ore.
    - There are two types of Matter Blocks in craft window: common and uncommon. Must be one, maybe
    - Some placeable objects disappear when you leave your spaceship [*]
    - Items are sometimes frozen in place in your inventory. Requires client restart to move them around or delete.

Add that randomly items will get stuck in your inventory, and a full client restart will be required to remove/ move around items in your inventory. Confirmed by me and two other friends.

The shift click bug sometimes works the other way around, too. Trying to shift-click items from a container sometimes makes them poof. I lost a lot of books trying to take them in this manner.

Just hard to reproduce. After I initially lost like 6 flares and 2 volumes of the 'would be king', I was watching the inventory like a hawk when I looted, but it didn't happen again :wut:

This may not be for all merchants, but i have found that if i buy more than one of an item at a time, say 50, it will only charge me the price of one.
    I had so much bacon...

Ignore this post -- what I thought was a bug wasn't. One has to actually manually upgrade starmap, but this wasn't made very clear. Hence why I thought that there was a progression bug.

Thanks to those that pointed out my derp.

After killing the Boss, you did craft the Starmap upgrade to unlock the Beta, right?

This one has been very difficult to find for me: thread.

You can't connect to a server, and it says "I/O error in NetSocket write loop or device closed: NetworkException: tcp send error: 10038". See details in that thread.
I can confirm this happens in both LAN and WAN connections, and not all servers/clients are affected. Pre and post-update characters, it doesn't matter.

EDIT: Turns out my game was not up to date.

  11. I posted about this in the official threads, but putting it here too shouldn't hurt;

Sometimes (more often after the Irritated Koala patch), adjusting anything regarding the window, full screen toggle, or resolution will force the game to crash.

Simply defeating the boss does not unlock the next sector, you have to craft an item and use it to update the Starmap.

I feel as if the beam down bug should be orange instead of the not important yellow. I spend 20-30 minutes just trying to beam down and having it crash over and over just to play it for a little bit before the client just randomly closes out on me.

Didn't know it causes crashes. I'll fix now.

  16. The teleporting/crash bug is the most annoying so far imo. It's rare for me to make it past the "ship", because teleporting causes crashes very often.

If you die and respawn on the ship, you become subject to this bug again. I have not had any problems beaming BACK to the ship though.

Another strange one, need to confirm with other Win7 Users I guess. Ever since the content update yesterday, after 30-40 minutes in, the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service crashes. And then it crashes again.. and again.. since the service is on auto-start. Which is annoying because for some reason SB does not use exclusive fullscreen, so the popup smacks you in the middle of the screne, obscuring view, and forcing you to alt+tab to close it. It did it so many times, I went ad killed the service itself >.>
