Hi! Making new race mod inspired of Aliens movie http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/starbound-aliens-invasion-wip.1773/ I have a problem implementing head color. I'm using this options in .species file Code: "headOptionAsFacialhair" : true, "altOptionAsHairColor" : true, But hair color doesn't change. Some of the body colors is changing but the head color remain static. Can someone help me figure out what i do wrong?

I'm going to say it right now, I don't have much experience with mods, BUT I do think I have a possible fix for the error your having, I saw this code in another race mod that came close to the code you have (in the .species file). Here it is: "altOptionAsUndyColor" : true, "headOptionAsHairColor" : true, hope this helped!

Then update it for your own, personal use and stop replying to a dead thread. The person who made the original mod is not around to update it, so make due.
I can't guide you through all the necessary steps. First, use the basics guide to make an uodated modinfo file. Then use the unpacking tutorial to unpack the game assets, and use those to fix any issues with the mods ship and species files. Other issues should be resolved in a NEW thread if you need help.
A primitive method for updating an older mod is to download a similar, modern mod, and make changes to the outdated mod to match the modern one.
