Megaguns

Since that was the final character wipe, that means that we can keep whatever we find. Because of this, I have been searching for the most powerful guns. And I wasn't satisfied with the run of the mill rifles and pistols, so I decided to forge my own. I present to you:
Megaguns!

Gun Number one: The Shredder


It may look like a Lightning Coil, but it's not. This gun fires phoenix projectiles.




Gun Number 2: Bane of the Soil


More of a mining tool than a weapon, but it does do a flip tonn of damage.


It digs holes. (Like a dwarf)


Gun Number 3: Randomly Generated name (Lil' hole maker)


Relatively generic, but.....


...It shoots lil' meteors! How cool is that?


They make quite a mess too.


Gun Number 4: Wrath of Klux (Big hole maker)


Not much here...


Oh wait it summons meteors!


Does tonns of damage too!

Nope. No modding involved, I just edited the guns data values.

 

so instead of a normal projectile that is represented as a number or just as the name of the projectile you instead made that section of the guns code refer to a meteor?

 

The projectile is represented by a name. Phoenix, rocket, meteorsmall, metoerbig etc...

 

How to change damage without changing energy per shot?

 

Can you write a complete tutorial on how to so this? We'd all appreciate it, thanks!

So you just did a quick mod of some guns with Starcheat, is all? Meh.

 

Thanks! I tried it, but apparently, it doesn't work for nightly builds. Wiped out my novakid and his Phoenix emblem revolver.

 

Personaly i would consider editing the guns data values, to values not normaly obtainable, a mod.

 

Me and my freind were assholes to a guy who stole shit from my ship so we blew up his custom ship with a meteor gun. Now there's no blocks to even build on.

 

Why did that moron continue to keep you in his party after he stole your stuff?

 

You can do all of what the OP mentioned using a program called starcheat. It allows modification of most values used in the game for armor and weapons plus more.
