Grappling Hook!

I love that the grappling hook's rope actually interacts with blocks, that was one thing I wish was in Terraria.

 

Is it this Ninja Rope which had to be shown like 2 months ago?

I was moments away from nagging Omni to finish up the ninja rope! This is awesome. I hope that the hook actually embeds itself into blocks later though!

 

Ninja rope is awesome. The more ways we have to move around the more fun this game will be.

 

Working on it. This morning the hook was a big X and the handle was the wiretool.

Last night it would crash the game when you used it.

Those look pretty sweet. Can't wait to see a video of them in action.

The ability to use two hooks and lines reminds me of the 3D movement gear they use in Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Should be fun to zip around the map with this.

 

Very cool wonder how it will be used in pvp.

 

Makes me wonder if people will make some "Ninja Rope" maps just to have races on. Heck, a Ninja-rope race vs NPC's would probably make for a pretty fun quest.

 

This reminds me of that cartoon with skinless giants eating pepole.

 

If the wires do interact fully with the blocks of the environment, you could do some really cool stuff with momentum. Sling around a single placed block to change your direction, that kind of thing. With good timing you could Spiderman your way around all the caverns of your homeworld.

 

Omni it's looking pretty slick already, the way the hook gun looks is simple but effective .

It is sort of like the Ivy hook from terraria but using the principals of lasers with altered mechanics.

 

Starbound + Attack on Titan. I like what I see.

 

DUDES, This game needs a gamepad support! Its like playing some metroidvania.

 

Someone better mod that in!
