RELEASED Craftable Instruments

Discussion in 'Musical Instruments' started by KaosVardenmaell, Dec 12, 2013.

  1. KaosVardenmaell

    KaosVardenmaell Void-Bound Voyager

In this mod I have tried to add recipes for every instrument in the game (except keytars, which will come later)
Generally everything will be craftable to equivalent real world parts, like steel for strings and whatnot.
The mod also adds brass, which is crafted with silver and copper.

The mod can be found here:

If anything breaks or there is an issue, message me, and I will try to get it fixed right away.

Edit: Mod updated with fixes and the rest of the instruments.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Few last minute bugs snuck through. https://www.mediafire.com/?888iwzkt6jz3kq7 Install this over the mod files to fix it. Hopefully KV will be on soon to fix it himself.

Personally tested this and it all work as intended. You just go to the metalwork station and it's all there. No blueprints to go hunting for.

Than start starbound go to my metal work station and all is still the same

Looked it over and there were a few last minute mistakes in the mod. Sorry about that. KaosVardenmaell's not on right now, but I've made a temporary fix until he fixes it himself.

Note: This is only a patch that'll fix the mod. This isn't the entire mod and you'll still need it installed first.

Wire is an item you find in-game. I forget where. The USCM or Apex dungeons, maybe? As for brass, you craft it at the metalwork station out of copper and silver.

                BigSeth1990 Yeah, you!

I downloaded it and the fix yet I see nothing in my metal work station. Just the usual stuff.

It works for most people who've used the fix. I have to ask if you've put everything in the right folders.

Edit I should be more specific. Where did you put the folders? Did you copy the assets folder inside of the instrument folder into the Starbound directory? It should've asked you to merge the folders and overwrite files if you did it correctly.

                    BigSeth1990 Yeah, you!

It finally asked me for it now it stuck in an infinite loading screen when I start the game.

The mod has actually been updated to a current version found here: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/craftable-instruments.51/

Unfortunately, I saw your mod way too late to really do much. It does differ by a bit, but such is modding.

Indeed, I have had the same experience of releasing a mod that already exists in the minecraft forums. but such is modding as you say.
