Talking about PvP servers, one wild question pops: Will PvP ever be balanced on the game? Or we will continue with 1-hit kill players/bosses system? Because PvP and Bosses are actually fun on Terraria, but on Starbound... I hope you guys have plans for them!
...Wow that sound effect was so not what I thought it was. And yet there is a very good chance some bored modder will have had the same thought as me and now has a convenient audio asset to make it.
So sad, but so true. The bosses really feel one dimensional. More like a glorified grunt. I think the flame mages in terreria skull dungeon posed more of a threat than the first 5 bosses in starbound combined. I remember running around like a mad man not to be caught in the fireball explosion, or having the unfortunate luck of fighting a lightning + fireball mage at the same time.
I'm really liking all the various new weapon designs that you guys are coming up with, lately. Hopefully there's going to be even more. More moar MOAR!!
Did she just ducked? Is there even going to be stealth? Maybe switch from foreground to background when trying to sneak past an enemy?
Right click Starbound in your steam library, then betas, and you can select the nightly builds there.
@Armagon: Should we expect to see fun and interesting effects on randomly generated weapons instead of just the normal elemental stuff? I'd really like to see more variance in effects on green and blue quality weapons.
Awesome! However, is there any thought to adding range-based damage? For example, getting shot by a paintball gun in real life freaking hurts if you're at close range. Maybe that 11 ramps up to a 15 or 22 as the mob gets closer? This could potentially be used as a lever to balance guns vs melee as well. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Just don't go in expecting the nightly to be a fun game for you to play, it's always going to be very broken in lots of ways. You might get to mess around a bit with some early, incomplete versions of upcoming systems but that's it.
I love every update, even the silly ones. Paintball guns and giant crayons. There will be so many items and functions, you can play any game you want in this one game.
I absolutely love the idea of paintball guns. Provided that everyone wears appropriate copper or stronger protective eyewear while using them. <_<

I think it's highly likely we'll go back over the rare generated weapons after we're done working in all the new status effects. It would be a bit of a waste not to.
