    So no need to download them as long as you have the latest package installed.

    !WARNING! When upgrading from v0.1.x to v0.3.x
    The new ore, Eezo, is required for much of our content, but you will not find it on already explored planets. Due to all the additions to the Normandy, you will have to wipe your shipworld file, or you will find yourself missing things on your existing ship once you upgrade (like the galaxy console). You can find intruction on how to safely wipe your ship in our FAQ below.

    Installation instructions :

    Simply copy the entire mod directory into your "Starbound/mods" directory,
    commonly at "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\mods".

    If you wish to use one of the original Starbound races with SMEE and have access
    to the Normandy, it is recommended that you download and use one or more of the
    SMEE versions in the optional race package. You will need to install SMEE first
    and then place a mod from the optional package alongside SMEE into your
    Starbound/mods directory.


    Update instructions:

    Just remove our old smee folder and copy the new one into mods.
    And don't forget to update the option race package, too if you used it before ;)

    Updating from 0.1.x to 0.2.x:
    We recommend a ship wipe (see warning and FAQ)


    Dependencies:
    You only need to install ONE of the custom races mods from above.
    And don't forget to endorse them ;) Since without it, you can't play the ME races.


    Compatible with:


    Known Conflicts:

    If you use a mod with the same tile/material ids there will be a conflict.
    SMEE tile/material id list:
    • 7001 -- Normandy ship wall
    • 7002 -- Normandy ship detail
    • 7003 -- Eezo

    Confirmed conflicting mods:
    • Wulf_Oman's Atomworks Mod, since this mod has also Iridium.
    • Status Pod Expansion mod, since 0.3.0. We will look into it if we can make a patch for it.

    Can you add race XYZ from ME? (open)

    There will be more races in the future. But we will reveal them when they are ready ;)


    I installed your mod but the custom species do not show up. How can I fix this? (open)

    Please make sure that you also installed ONE of the custom race mods:


    Can I use your mod in multiplayer? (open)

    Yes it works definitely in multiplayer, if the mod is installed on your server.


    I switched my custom race mod. Now the game crashes everytime. How can I fix this? (open)

    The only solution we have till now, is wipe all your custom species player files.
    If it still crashes you need to wipe all your player files.


    Is it possible to use the normandy for modded races yet? (open)

    A: Yes you just need to customize one Mod from the SMEE optional package, e.g. SMEEapex.
    Open inside SMEEapex folder the universe_server.config.
    It should look like this:

    Change all "apex" entries to the species you want to use and start a new game.


    How do I wipe my ship world? (open)

    I some and hopefully rare occasions, you will need to wipe your shipworld (We will anounce that if it is necessary).

    So before you do this. Salvage your whole ship first!
    Everything you want to keep and put it on your home base on a planet for example.
    Then go to the player folder and delete the *.shipworld file for your character.
    Now you can upgrade SMEE to the new version.
    Start the game and replace your decorations and furnitures.


    Mod Pack Permissions:
    You must get the author's consent before including this mod in a compilation.
    Mod Assets Permissions:
    You must get the author's consent before altering/redistributing any assets included in this mod.

    i think this mod definitly adds the effect needed for a mass effect atmosphere, and will do even more in the future.

    An excellent mod, for sure! I only have one real gripe with it; Turians are supposed to have digitigrade legs. I get that spriting that sort of thing for all the sets of armor would be a hassle. I know the creator of the Avali will give permission to use his sprites, but the digitigrade on Turians isn't quite that... Heavy.

    Otherwise, this is a great mod. I'm just not 100% on Turians being so human shaped. But, keep up the good work!

    I really like this so far and I haven't even gone far with it yet! I have one question though, how do you make a Turian white and/or light gray? (Gotta get my Garrus fix lol!) There are lots of facepaint colors but no pale skin (leather/hide?) tones cept lightish blue, lots of variety otherwise.

    Will there be a Mako mount? Love me some Mako action. ^_^
