Pixel Weekly Pixel-off (Current Theme: Cute)

heh everyone passed binding of issac too, it was on sale, i got it for under 1$ now it's up to like 10.

 

No time for an entry this week, my sister just traded a filter for a gecko and now I have a baby gecko to take care of YYYAAAAAYYYYY!!!

 

AWWWWW.

Also speaking of the prizes, I have like five games to throw in once The Binding of Isaac is taken. I needed to post this or I would totally forget all about them.

 

You would awww everywhere if you saw her, baby crested geckos are adorable. Problem is I had nothing to keep her in so a 9pm petsco trip was in order :/

 

Looks like we have a tie, we will give it until tomorrow for you two to work it out.

"Winter"

Seeing that we are approaching my favorite season of the year,
this weeks theme is based around winter, anything from frosty the snowman, over killer claus and
a grumpy old Grinch, to a nice winter themed scene.

May I give you a suggestion? Try light blue and dark blue instead of light-gray and dark-gray.
It will look less like "JPEG artifacts" and more like "frost" that way.

Blue makes the white pixels look more white and also adds a 'cold' feeling to the image.
Gray/Blacks tend to make whites appear less white and gives a more sullen or depressed feeling.

 

i used some kind of blur on a second layer, the colors are fine, it's a light blue grayish.
might redo it later on.

 

So hey... missed me? (Probably not...) But I'm back now!

This time I tried to make Santa's little helper Link from Legend of Zelda...
At first it was supposed to be a full body image, but I couldn't do the arms... a Link without his arms just wouldn't be the same.

I don't just want a sword, I want a flaming sword that shoots lightning bolts!
Instead of making a regular gun, make a gun that shoots explosive penguins!
