If you don't see an error it isn't really there. It simply means whichever place doesn't exist at that given time. It's not actually an error, just a misconception
Hello! The backwoods and the railroad maps doesn't change season from what I've tested. 99% sure it's connected to this mod since when I remove it from ALL the railroad map loads the correct season. Downloaded version 2.0 and haven't made any changes to the files. Edit: Ran this mode on a clean install and ran into the same issue.
I've paged through the manifest to find if I left something out in there. The problem must lie in the map files themselves. I'll be looking into this. While testing I didn't change from summer so I'm glad you brought this up. The backwoods you were referring to (backwoods2; Back Path) may be cut from this mod if I can't find the underlying paths problem. There is a manifest a few pages back that does so.
Having the same issue with the seasons not matching in the new areas. I'm at least glad it wasn't my own fault, haha. Please update when possible. I reaally would like to keep this mod but unsynced seasons is definitely something that would irk me too much to keep.
Hey, you can always delete it, no problems here. I haven't found the cause. To be honest, I tried earlier and realized that since I've started construction, I really just can't care about much else so I may not be coming back at all. I'll mess with my personal work when something irks me but I plan to keep it to myself. There's no money or much thanks in it. I might as well stick to making heartless dollars.
Think I know what you mean there. I used to create for Sims 2 and felt the same way. These mods are very much appreciated though.
I tried getting back into it on my new laptop. Maybe it was because I had no shortcut keys yet or the screen was too small, something, I don't know. But I got as far as writing the title to a new mod and began thinking about all that needed taken care of. At that point I just closed it out. Maybe someday it will appeal to me again but probably no time soon. I had big plans to do all of this over vacation but quickly realized this really is all of the time I'll have to myself for the next forever. The seasons, I really have no idea why the railroad would not change correctly since it relies on all of the same tilesheets, it's defined in the manifest and I've only added a few new things. Is it the unlockable area at the top of the cliff? Because I could see that being the same. The Backwoods2 map has many problems. It was designed for an older version for one. Seasons could probably be fixed as easy as adding some lines. But then there are the path issues that cause characters to get stuck.
I had this issue with the older Tego mod also, 13akoors that maintain those maps said this was because of ALL and not the specific maps themselves. Possibly, that's another thing, sometimes things work fine until another update comes along. Then framework, etc can be the underlying issue. Which can be confusing because you wonder, "did I overlook this?". Then you search all over, remove portions and find out it wasn't the problem at all. I also don't like how stardew now has different languages wasting space and adding a bunch of unneccessary files. I made an adult-oriented dialogue mod for [almost] all NPCs and was about to release it until all these extra files were added. I may just release it anyway and hope it works correctly. And I apologize if any of my posts have come off negative.
Honestly, I'm not experienced in C# and such at all to comment, but going by previous experience with Sims 2 (that one is a pain in the butt) I think I get the gist of what you're saying. It does seem like many mods have suddenly become redundant all because of an update or two, so I get that would feel exhausting and disheartening to keep up with. I spent weeks of my time creating objects/recolours for S2 and often times the only replies would be things that were wrong about them, which would feel like a kick in the teeth sometimes. I think most people are simply trying to be helpful though towards making a flawless mod? When I mentioned this at least wasn't my fault, I wasn't saying it's instead yours. I had just spent the whole of yesterday goofing around with mods and ended up screwing my game up, so I was expecting this issue to be of my doing too, but it's instead just other things which are no ones fault.
Oh, no blame passing here, saying to delete it was a funny solution to me. Most of the time it is all about what is wrong with a mod that people say, but sometimes people go out of their way to say 'thanks'. If you're looking into how to make an ALL mod, I uploaded a collection of documents to Nexus. Search for "Modder's Resource" and it's one of the optional files. Of course, it won't work the way it should if everything needs updated.
Sry if this has been addressed somewhere in the patch notes but has the characters disappearing glitch been fixed in 2.0 or should i download the manifest mentioned somewhere in here?
Noticed that Willy is missing from my current game, might there be a modification/map that's causing issues for him too? The custom back path map was removed before I started the game.
