SamuriFerret submitted a new blog post: November 12th - Mission in Action Continue reading the Original Blog Post
Missions i think are going to be one of the best parts of this update, and, also, i believe those fleshy monster will be down there, i've checked out a little of that mission already (Also, is this guy new? never seen him post anything before..)
They really need to make a full length movie with the team who made that trailer. Damn good job they did with the dead space 3 cinematic.
yes, its allready in to test it Seems like a nice addition that opens a few more things for modders and missions
I'll say... Devblog: examine new options. Elsewhere in paradox space, we examine another planet, long awaited by cat-loving mod-users. Gee, what could its name be?
This sounds pretty good. I just want to touch on one thing. I really hope that this is going to come in the form of a prompt. Much as I love adventuring with my friends, there are a number of reasons why I wouldn't want to automatically drag my whole group with me (or have them drag me with them) when a mission starts. It could range from doing different things, to one person being behind in progression but still in the group, or even just the possibility of someone being a smartass and deliberately poofing everyone while they're in the middle of other things. Not saying I don't trust you guys, but the description of the mechanic isn't clear on joining in the mission being voluntary, and it needs to be.

This is really awesome. But I've got a small question. If the missions send you directly into the begining, what will quests be like and will they be different? I'd really hope there would be either missions or quests which will need you to explore the sectors and look for the objective yourself, rather than sticking you someplace right away and showing you the direction. More complex missions and quests which involve different planets and locations would be cool too. Also got a cool mission idea for a high-tier Apex character that involves infiltrating a government facility and assassinating some important official. Maybe last tier missions could involve helping rebels bring down the Big Ape!
Well, there's no reason they can't teleport you to the mission start, and then have part of the quest where you have to travel to other areas and planets.
