Outdated Avali Race Mod 0.12.4

Indeed I really love how it came out in the end. The orange/yellow scheme is just default, as you mgith surmise in the long run you'll be able to pain gun/dye bucket armour and weapons, so you'll be able to have your blue scheme - I uh... can't help but lol at the tumblr name though xD

 

Alright... Now I have a question... what would make the better Avali soldier? A undamaged pack, or separated individuals?

 

If I'm not mistaken, the only way to lose heat in space is through radiation, which isn't the most effective form of heat transfer.

 

I'd say a pack tbh. You think, their entire social structure relies upon pack units, therefore their military doctrine would also place heavy importance on such structures. I haven't looked at any military lore, but it seems like it'd be really hard to have a standing army because of it? Sounds like mercenary groups/hired security forces would be far more common.

Radiation, or the less-discussed advection which boils (heh) down to heating something through conduction or convection and then dumping it off the ship. For example; dumping heat-saturated coolant fluid into space. so you can start cycling fresh, unheated coolant.

On a more serious note, there apparently actually is something called a raptor mech that sort of fits with the avali aesthetic design:
