I hadn't seen a platform staircase like that before, that's pretty neat. The pitchfork/trident really sells your hell(s).
For my first post on the forum, this is my super compact interstellar home! It's my home as I jump around searching for the perfect planet.
built me a new space ship - you beam right to captains chair from a planets surface =D also no stairs and or platforms connecting levels - using the planetside teleporter mod im able to beam back and forth through the different levels
My day one home was literally a hole in the ground. I stole the door from a Glitch fortress and ran like hell. I was so proud of myself. (My current home is a much more elaborate hole in the ground.)
Sooo, I think I started hording things. I began to build a warehouse and just "finished" the blocks section. I am hording dirt, what is wrong with me? Actually, this is the screenshots section.
Actually, the thread was moved after i posted this. Oh and while i'm here, this is one part of my base :
The Arboretum ... so far I used a mod to zoom out so my screenshots weren't so disjointed. I've been collecting purple trees
War. War never changes. Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage. In the year 2077, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation. But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes. In the early days, thousands were spared the horrors of the holocaust by taking refuge in enormous underground shelters, known as vaults. But when they emerged, they had only the hell of the wastes to greet them - all except those in Vault 101. For on that fateful day, when fire rained from the sky, the giant steel door of Vault 101 slid closed... and never reopened. It was here you were born. It is here you will die. Because, in Vault 101: no one ever enters, and no one ever leaves... except me =p *indoor plumbing!
Just the start of something, started on this this morning, since I wanted a new base after my last one got torn to shreds by several massive meteors. Spent a good hour lining the surface around the base with obsidian, so I'd like to see meteors get in now. Gotta say, the panels were really expensive, but I had so many diamonds from mining that it really wasn't an ordeal to just refine about 5000 of them and go for it
I like the creativity using "noobie materials", looks to be a good design in which the materials could be swapped out for others in later builds. Reminds me how much you can do with just dirt! So many colors and packed dirt is incredibly useful.
You suckers actually go out and collect materials? How do you get anything done? Behold the one true way: http://www.nexusmods.com/starbound/mods/27/? I recommend getting this mod manager first, though. http://www.nexusmods.com/starbound/mods/64/?
