Eh not really I fell out of Terraria (didn't remember that was the thing you were talking about till someone mentioned it). I haven't been keeping up with news so I know almost nothing of what is going on. I might check it out but atm I am not since I don't know anything. lol

I don't think it will be THAT bad. It is just a normal update on steam.

It is like Terraria 2 but it isn't and it is free.

 

Yeah I hear people are excited about it. I will likely check it out I am just not excited since I haven't kept up with the news so far. I would love to have some life brought back into Terraria as I massively enjoyed the game. ^^

 

From what I've seen/heard, they've revamped hardmode entirely, added a bunch of new bosses (minibosses and a final boss, to be exact). New biomes, revamped the early game, redid all the biome's backgrounds, and added a minimap.

Here's a summary for those at home who are using rocks to view the thread, or at work.

-Werewolf form is active during the night, not just the fullmoon.
-Clowns can't blow shit up anymore.
-Chest dupes and goldfish farming don't work anymore.
-You can step over one tile inclines now instead of jumping over them.
-You can create slopes with hammers.
-Inventory size increased by one row, and chests are doubled in size.
-Minimap is toggleable, and remembers blocks the brightest they've ever been (who here is going to fill in the map completely, like in Metroid?)
-Social equips can have their colors changed now.
-Players start with 10 mana, and mana stars require only half the fallen stars to craft now.
-Enemies and players have visible health bars.
-Water physics updated, now there are waterfalls.
-Chains can be made from iron (10 for one bar, I think), and can be climbed.
-New weather effects (rain and blizzard).
-Two new hardmode events.
-Gravity potion flips the screen upside down, rather than the player now (not sure if good or bad).
-Double damage no more in PVP.
-Brighter days, darker nights.
-Common enemies have a variety of sprites.
-Over 1000 new items; 10 new ores.
-12 new wing types (so now you don't have to waffle over angel or demons wings, I guess?)
-Bosses can drop boss trophies.
-8 new NPCs.
-4 new bosses; Skeletron can be summoned now.
-15 new pets that can be found throughout the world.

 

The new one coming out tomorrow is for the 3DS.

The previous games are for the DS and Wii, so you COULD just get an emulator to play them on PC.

Rune Factory 1, 2 & 3 are for the DS. Rune Factory Frontier and Tides of Destiny are for the Wii.

 

When I played Terraria for the first time, I spent so much time on the wiki... well... I knew almost everything about the game even before I got my first set of copper armor... I finished everything with ease and perfection... but now, when looking backward, I think I ruined myself huge and awesome part/element of the game - the exploration of unknown...

But now I won't do that mistake again... I did watch the video teasing the new update, but that was it... tomorrow I will start over with new character in new world and try to explore everything new myself! ^^

Almost forgot to mention that I look forward to tomorrow so much... but I suppose you were already able to guess

 

Since there is over 1000 new items, you'd have your work cut out for you, even with the wiki (which would still not be complete until at least a month after release, most likely). So storm the game in that window. We, as a clan, could play together, and make sure you don't hit the wiki.

 

Tomorrow I will laugh at all you turds playing Terraria while I play my Rune Factory 4.
