Huh? I don't understand this or the conversation that followed it.

 

A German song celebrating Moscow seems odd to me right now because of all the WWII stuff I've been reading.
On a semi related note in 1942 the British commissioned an island as the HMS Atlantic Isle and used it to harass passing German convoys. The original residents were descendants of British settlers and were quite isolated, they still spoke with the accent of a 18th century sailor.

 

Don't use gravity. Even though it's better just use water walking potion. Waaay better.

Luckily it doesn't have autocowrrect nor autocorrect. I don't think it corrects mistakes like "peice". Nope, and word would've corrected stuff like that. Though I will say the (albeit semi-limited) spellcheck is one of my favorite features of Windows 8; something that, at least in my mind, they did right.

 

I imagine the WWII English technology must've impressed them then, unless they were isolated enough to maintain accent but still had some ties to the outside world.

 

The bit I read only mentioned that they had enough interaction with English whalers to know that the rest of the world hasn't ceased to be.
It really would've been quite interesting to see their reactions to giant steel ships, aircraft and the artillery they installed on the island.
